BRISBANE Lions international rookie Cian Hanley will take over the No. 11 jumper previously worn by his brother Pearce.

Irishman Pearce Hanley was traded to Gold Coast in October after a horror year for the club that saw Justin Leppitsch sacked as coach and the Lions finish second last on the ladder.

Cian has not played a game since being picked up in the 2014 rookie draft, with serious groin and knee injuries over the past two years holding up his progress.

The winner of television reality show The Recruit, Matt Eagles, has been handed No. 41. Eagles was added to the list as a category B rookie and is a 199cm ruckman.

Defender Sam Skinner, 19, who is recovering from his second knee reconstruction will take over retired backman Daniel Merrett's No. 21.

Fellow backman Jack Frost will continue with the No. 45 he wore at Collingwood.

The Lions are yet to announce what numbers their latest draftees will don.

Hugh McCluggage, Jarrod Berry, Alex Witherden, Cedrix Cox, Jacob Allison and Corey Lyons were selected by the Lions on Friday night, with the pre-season and rookie drafts to come on Monday.
