Thursday night teams: Pies v Dons
Friday night teams: Hawks v Cats

INSPIRATIONAL skipper Robert Murphy has been named in the Western Bulldogs' side for its JLT Community Series clash with Melbourne at the Whitten Oval on Saturday evening.

Murphy, who missed the Bulldogs' premiership triumph after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in round three last season, will be joined by former Collingwood spearhead Travis Cloke in the squad.

Veteran Matthew Boyd, Grand Final hero Tom Boyd and highly rated young ruckman Tim English will also play for the Dogs, alongside the returning Stewart Crameri.

Marcus Bontempelli and Easton Wood have been left out of the squad.

Demons fans will be able to enjoy watching marquee recruit Jordan Lewis who will take the field for his new club for the first time.

Lewis, sensationally traded from Hawthorn in the off-season, is part of a strong-looking Melbourne squad for the match, which will also include the returning Jake Melksham.

Star Sydney midfielder Luke Parker has been cleared to play against North Melbourne in Coffs Harbour on Sunday after recovering from knee surgery in December.

Parker had arthroscopic surgery to fix a posterior cruciate ligament problem he sustained in the Swans' preliminary final victory over Geelong last year.

Sam Reid, Josh Kennedy, Dan Hannebery, Isaac Heeney, Callum Mills, Kurt Tippett have been picked in the Swans' team. Highly rated young draftee Oliver Florent is also in, while defender Michael Talia has been named.

The Swans will be without Kieren Jack, Jarrad McVeigh, Lance Franklin and Dane Rampe for the trip.

Scott Thompson, Sam Wright, Todd Goldstein, Robbie Tarrant, Majak Daw, Ben Brown, Ben Jacobs and Jed Anderson (recovering from a long-term shoulder injury) have all been left out of North Melbourne's squad.

However, former Magpie Marley Williams will make an appearance for the Roos.

Top draft picks Tim Taranto and Hugh McCluggage have been named to make their debuts for Greater Western Sydney and the Brisbane Lions respectively.

Taranto, pick No. 2 in last year's draft, and McCluggage, pick No.3, join fellow top-three draft pick Andrew McGrath (Essendon) in playing their first game for their respective sides.

Taranto, a contested-ball winning midfielder, will join fellow top draft picks Will Setterfield and Harry Perryman, as well as former Docker Tendai Mzungu in the Giants' team to face West Coast on Saturday.

The Eagles will be without Sam Mitchell, Drew Petrie, Matt Priddis, Luke Shuey, Josh Kennedy, Mark LeCras and Jack Darling for their trip to Narrandera. However, former Cat Nathan Vardy has been pencilled in to play his maiden pre-season game for his new club.

McCluggage, a smooth-moving goalkicking onballer, has been named alongside ex-Magpie Jack Frost in the Lions' line-up to take on Gold Coast at Broadbeach.

Dayne Beams and Allen Christensen are the notable absentees for the Lions, although Tom Rockliff has been named to play.

Gold Coast's team will include luckless midfielder David Swallow and former Fremantle midfielder Michael Barlow. Top draft picks Ben Ainsworth, Jack Bowes and Will Brodie have also been included in the Suns' squad.

Former Lion Pearce Hanley will face off against his old team for the first time, while ex-Pie Jarrod Witts will have a chance to cement the No.1 ruck spot after impressing in the pre-season.
