GREATER Western Sydney star Toby Greene has been cleared to face the Western Bulldogs on Friday night after the Match Review Panel said there was insufficient force in his headbutt on Sydney opponent Isaac Heeney.

Greene was reported for headbutting Heeney in the first quarter of Saturday night's clash at the SCG, grappling off the ball before leaning into the Swans midfielder with his head.

However, after speaking to officiating umpire Curtis Deboy, the Panel said there was "insufficient force in the contact to constitute a report".

The 23-year-old has been under the close watch of the MRP after two charges this season and a total of six charges in the past six seasons.

He was found guilty of striking Port Adelaide's Dan Houston off the ball in round four and misconduct against North Melbourne's Sam Gibson in the JLT Community Series.

The Giants will stage their first ever Friday night match in round six, hosting the Bulldogs in Canberra in a rematch of the classic 2016 preliminary final.

There were a total of five charges out of the first seven matches of round five, with all resulting in financial sanctions.

Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli has been charged with striking Eagle Brad Sheppard off the ball and can accept a $1000 fine, with the intentional hit classified as low impact to the body.

Bulldogs defender Easton Wood has been charged with striking Brisbane Lions forward Josh Schache in Saturday's clash at Etihad Stadium, also earning a $1000 fine.

His strike was also graded as intentional conduct with low impact to the body.

North Melbourne defender Lachlan Hansen can accept a $1000 fine for a careless strike on Fremantle's Brady Grey, with the hit graded as low impact to the head.

Geelong youngster Nakia Cockatoo and St Kilda defender

Jake Carlisle can accept a $1500 and $1000 fines respectively for wrestling each other, with Cockatoo charged for a second offence.
