NORTH Melbourne's slide down the ladder has been dramatic, but fans are on board with a season of redevelopment after four senior players were delisted last year.

Giving their mid-season verdict on the Kangaroos in an AFL.com.au survey, over 70 per cent of fans endorsed coach Brad Scott, who made the bold decision last year to delist AFL games-record holder Brent Harvey, Nick Dal Santo, Michael Firrito and Drew Petrie.

After their catastrophic 0-5 start to the season, the Roos recovered to win four of their next six and resume after their bye in 15th place.

Many fans called for more game time for youngsters, with former mainstays Andrew Swallow and Lindsay Thomas named as 2017's biggest underperformers.

Opening the war chest to land big-name recruits Dustin Martin and Josh Kelly would also salvage a successful season, fans say.

Here are the full survey results, as well as a selection of North supporters' views.

It'll be a good year for the Kangaroos if…

We continue to display a fast, attacking brand of football and play the kids.
- David Mullen, Essendon Vic

Josh Kelly and Dustin Martin decide to don the blue and white.
- Owen Leonard, Beaumaris Vic

We make finals with the young kids getting maximum game time.
- Michael Hermans, West Melbourne Vic

Mason Wood gets some continuity, and there are more opportunities for the younger players to see who is capable.
- Heath Anders, Bright Vic

We keep getting games into the kids and don't drop away in the back half of the season.
- Reece McKinnon, Tamworth NSW

Ben Brown cuts his hair but we still make the eight.
- Johnny Phillips, Perth WA
