THE BRISBANE Lions could be without defender Dan McStay for Sunday's game against West Coast in Perth after the 22-year-old injured his shoulder at the weekend.

McStay hurt his AC joint in the third quarter of Sunday's win over Carlton and, despite playing the match out, is in serious doubt to face the Eagles.

"He's going to be pretty sore this week, we're not quite sure whether he'll get up yet," Lions head of medical Peter Blanch told the club's website.

"We'll try and get him there but we're not sure yet."

Losing McStay would be a major blow to a Lions team already missing star midfielder Dayne Zorko who was suspended for a match for striking Blue Lachie Plowman.

McStay has been in brilliant form of late, and contributed another 18 disposals and 10 marks in the 30-point win over Carlton.

It would leave Harris Andrews and Darcy Gardiner to fill the key posts, while Josh Walker could also swing from attack to defence to help out.
