IN A SURVEY last week on AFL.com.au, we asked: if you were in charge, how you would run your club's trade and draft period?

Which stars would you put on the table and what would you expect in return?

We also wanted to know what would be your club's dream trade.

Your response was incredible, with over 4500 submissions. Here we present a selection of the best.

'Get rid of McGovern'

As controversial as it may seem, the Crows should look to trade Mitch McGovern. While he is a talented player, he is not a key pillar to the Crows team, he is just the cherry on top of a very talented forward line. Trading him along with the Crows' first-round pick to the Dockers in return for their first-round pick would see the Crows have access to top-end talent for the first time since Patrick Dangerfield. This could open the door for a trade for GWS youngster Jacob Hopper, who will immediately add class to Adelaide's midfield. This, along with the retirement of Scott Thompson, would also relieve some salary cap pressure to assist in securing Jake Lever.
- Josh Katnich, Adelaide SA

'Get busy'

Cam Ellis-Yolmen, Dean Gore, Harrison Wigg and Kyle Cheney (probably unlucky) would be delisted, while Scott Thompson has already retired. The priority would be to re-sign Jake Lever and Mitch McGovern first and foremost, and for Charlie Cameron to stay. A trade for a midfielder or two is vital, so trading in Bryce Gibbs for a first and second-round pick, plus getting Tom Rockliff as a free agent is ideal. Trading in a young, cheap piece like Lukas Webb could also work in our favour. Finally, drafting a project key position player and a midfielder with the picks we have would go a long way to replenishing our depth.
- Eamonn Shorter, Launceston Tas

'Look to the locals'

I would not break the bank in order to retain players looking elsewhere. Jake Lever is my priority, but $800,000 is too much to commit to a player on a side that is in the premiership window now. Need to look for some more midfield depth and defensive back up. Need to seriously look at locals in the draft.
- Paul Hooper, Renmark SA

Is $800,000 too high a price for the Crows to keep Jake Lever? Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Assuming the current draft order, Adelaide sends pick 17 and Mitch McGovern to Fremantle. Fremantle send pick five to GWS, and GWS send Jacob Hopper to Adelaide.
- Josh Katnich, Adelaide SA

Charlie Cameron and a first-round pick for Tom Rockliff.
- Alex Fahey, Gawler SA

Tom Rockliff from the Brisbane Lions for Charlie Cameron, a first-round draft pick to Carlton for Bryce Gibbs, Mitch McGovern to Fremantle for Lachie Neale, and Jake Lever to Hawthorn for Ryan Burton.
- Alex Brown, Toorak Vic

You're the list manager

'Bring in the veterans'

Some of the serviceable fringe players at the club need to be moved on and replaced with some more high quality draft picks. At the draft we need to focus on getting the best talent possible to support the already exciting young list. A fast moving forward like Charlie Cameron would provide fantastic support for Eric Hipwood and Josh Schache. Some more experience down back with a senior body would also help out the young defence we currently have.
- Andrew Danvers, Adelaide SA

'Take a leaf out of the Roos' book'

Certainly attempt to acquire Adelaide's Charlie Cameron, he would really add more depth to the midfield. Boost midfield depth with the draft, also, and consider free agency for getting experienced players to help the youngsters. North Melbourne did it with Jarrad Waite and he's been fantastic for helping take the pressure off their youngsters.
- Nicholas Wynne-Markham, East Brisbane Qld

'Experienced defenders are the key'

The Lions should try and get more experience through the forward line and backline, mainly the backline, as the majority of the players are young and can't face the opposition's big forwards.
- Ruby Cameron, Wantirna South Vic

Dream trades

Steven Motlop to the Brisbane Lions in exchange for a third-round draft pick.
- Corey Evans, Brisbane Qld

Charlie Cameron and the Crows' first-round pick for Tom Rockliff.
- Harry Watson, Doncaster Vic

Isaac Smith in exchange for future 2018 first-round pick.
- Jonno Hill, Caulfield Vic

Lewis Taylor, a third-round pick and Ryan Harwood for Charlie Cameron.
- Jacob Campbell, Officer Vic

You're the list manager

'Deal or no deal'

If Bryce Gibbs wants out, go hard for Josh Kelly and ask for Rory Atkins or Richard Douglas from the Crows. 'No' to Jacob Hopper, with injury the concern. 'Yes' to Lachie Whitfield in terms of alternatives. If Levi Casboult is going, I would perhaps lean towards a Jake Lever swap for Gibbs.
- Andrew Gemmell, Surrey Hills Vic

'Focus on the midfield'

We have plenty of young talent to fill out the key positions over the next couple of years, so we shouldn't focus on obtaining key position players. We need more depth in the midfield, which has become apparent over the past couple of weeks in the absence of Patrick Cripps and Ed Curnow.
- Ned Fitzgerald, Camberwell Vic

'Anything for Kelly'

Throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at GWS to try and get Josh Kelly.
- Harrison Steakman, Windsor Vic

Steak knives, the sink ... Blues fans want whatever it takes to land Josh Kelly. Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Bryce Gibbs to Adelaide for two first-round draft picks, then trade the two picks to GWS with Tom Williamson or Harrison Macreadie for Josh Kelly and Jacob Hopper.
- Robert Dyke, Melbourne Vic

Bryce Gibbs and second-round pick to Adelaide for Jake lever, Levi Casboult to Richmond for a second-round pick, and a first and second-round pick to GWS for Josh Kelly.
- Cory Hopkins, Oxley Vic

Bryce Gibbs for a second-round pick and Harrison Wigg.
- Mitchell Karr, Adelaide SA

Receive a first and third-round draft pick from Richmond in exchange for Levi Casboult.
- Jesse Horton, Riddells Creek

You're the list manager

'Sort out our defence'

I would try and push for a trade for Jake Lever, as we are sorely lacking in the defensive department. The midfield is stacked and the forward line is not too bad. We also need to delist some of the least-used players or try to trade for picks so we can lure Lever.
- Joshua Donnell, Devonport Tas

'Bring in the big boys'

Key position players are essential at both ends of the ground, so that would be the first area of attack in the off-season. Midfield and ruck stocks are quite considerable at the moment, so there is no need to go after players in these areas. Players like Adelaide pair Jake Lever and Mitch McGovern would be targets down back, and a handy second forward to possibly be an option or back-up for Darcy Moore and Ben Reid.
- Jesse Hone, Mooroolbark Vic

'Get Goldy'

Bring in Todd Goldstein and throw Brodie Grundy up forward, and that way we don't need to target a key forward. Ben Reid can play as third forward or go down back that way. Jake Lever is a must. Without a first-round pick we have to get creative.
- Abraham Herasan, Sunshine West Vic

Dream trades

Steele Sidebottom and a first-round draft pick to Gold Coast for Tom Lynch.
- Taylor Harrison, Melbourne Vic

Shaun Burgoyne for third-round draft pick.
- Paul Davis, Hamilton Vic

Matt Scharenberg and Scott Pendlebury to Adelaide in exchange for Jake Lever and the Crows' second-round selection. Steele Sidebottom and Collingwood's 2018 first-round selection to Gold Coast for Tom Lynch.
- Steve Merry, Northcote Vic

Second-round draft pick and a future first-round draft pick to Gold Coast for Peter Wright and second-round draft pick.
- Jayke Lloyd-Roeby, Diggers Rest Vic

You're the list manager

'Shift the whiteboard around'

The Bombers need another key forward to replace Cale Hooker, who should return to the backline. A midfielder to replace Jobe Watson should also be sought. Dustin Martin and Josh Kelly should be on the radar, as should Adelaide's Tom Lynch. McKernan should be elevated from the rookie list, while Brent Stanton and Ben Howlett should retire.
- Michael Tobin, Gold Coast Qld

'Get the guns and win the flag'

Essendon need a star inside midfielder that can win the ball, and if Essendon get either Dustin Martin or Josh Kelly they would have a great shot at winning the premiership in 2018.
- Jesse Greer, Rye Vic

'Size and grunt from the draft'

Essendon need to pick up an inside midfielder and a key position player from the draft. I would look at trading in Jake Lever, because he would complement Michael Hurley and our backline well.
- Jack Manning, Rowville Vic

Dream trades

Dylan Shiel to Essendon for Cale Hooker and a second-round pick.
- Bob Lang, Hastings

A trade for Dustin Martin may be a bit ambitious, but if we could lure Josh Kelly for a high draft pick or two that would be excellent.
- Shane Kendell, New Zealand

Three-way trade. Aaron Francis to Adelaide, Jake Lever to Collingwood and Jordan De Goey to Essendon.
- Daniel Driver, Somerville Vic

First-round pick and future third-round pick to GWS for Jacob Hopper.
- Clinton Fisk, Melbourne

You're the list manager

'Stick to the WA boys'

Continue last year's strategy of targeting out-of-contract, young WA players who wish to come home. Acquiring Mitch McGovern via a trade without giving up our top-five pick would be ideal. This could be achieved by potentially trading for an early second-round pick, or the use of a future first-round selection and hoping for improvement from McGovern next year. The retirements of older players, as well as free agency should provide enough cap space for this.
- Hooper Wilson, Perth WA

'Firepower will boost our finals hopes'

A key forward is a must as we lack firepower up forward, and a 50-goals-a-season forward could be the difference between playing finals and not in 2018.
- Ewan Crawley, Perth WA

'Strengthen our weak point'

I would look towards securing as many of our youth as possible and also to extend our forward stocks, as it is our obvious weak point. I would trade Harley Balic and let him go home, and also trade Zac Clarke to a team that needs a ruckman. In exchange, we could get a young forward.
- Jay Cutler, Perth WA

Dream trades

Harley Balic and Freo's second pick to Melbourne for Jesse Hogan.
- Lester Delaney, Scarborough WA

First-round pick, Tommy Sheridan and Harley Balic to Melbourne for Jesse Hogan.
- Joe Restifo, Kalamunda WA

Jonathon Patton to Fremantle for Lachie Neale, a first-round pick and a second-round pick.
- Samuel Fuller, Dawesville WA

Lachie Neale to Adelaide for Mitch McGovern.
- John Damper, Perth WA

You're the list manager

'Trade bait for sale'

I would use Steve Motlop, Cameron Guthrie, Sam Menegola, Wylie Buzza and Josh Cowan as trade bait in order to attract draft picks or high-end talent to the club. I would have Tom Lonergan and Andrew Mackie retire. I would also try to draft some players with pace and ball skills.
- Oscar Irwin, Geelong Vic

'Give the squad a revamp'

Trade out Rhys Stanley, Steven Motlop, Darcy Lang, Aaron Black and Jake Kolodjashnij. Bring in Devon Smith, Jacob Hopper and Gary Ablett. Allow for possible retirements of Tom Lonergan and Andrew Mackie by bringing in some quality young defenders.
- Alistair Hardie, Blackburn Vic

'Get Gazza home'

With Joel Selwood, Patrick Dangerfield and Tom Hawkins all in their prime, we should push for a premiership. One of either Devon Smith or Jacob Hopper would be ideal. Get Gary Ablett, but only if Gold Coast let him walk and he plays for a pie and chips each week. Tom Lonergan and Andrew Mackie to retire.
- Samuel Ritter, Nashville, USA

Will former Cat champ Gary Ablett return to his roots? Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Our club's dream trade would be Gary Ablett to Geelong for a third-round pick and future third-round pick in 2018.
- Matthew Carins, Launceston Tas

Steven Motlop and George Horlin-Smith to Gold Coast for Tom Lynch.
- Steve Tonks, Ballarat Vic

Geelong receive Gary Ablett and Gold Coast receive a third-round draft pick.
- Aden Leak, Paralowie SA

Get Gary Ablett and Peter Wright for Motlop and a second-round draft pick
- Dylan Cockfield, Yackandandah Vic

You're the list manager

'Let Gaz go'

Firstly, I'd trade Gary Ablett. If he doesn't want to be here, then there is no point in keeping him. Delist Keegan Brooksby, Matt Shaw, Jarrad Grant and a few others. Trade Trent McKenzie and Brandon Matera and try and bring in Hamish Hartlett or another good midfielder to replace Ablett.
- Harry Krzyska, Gold Coast Qld

'Refresh the list'

Trade Gary Ablett to Geelong, delist Keegan Brooksby, Ryan Davis, Mackenzie Willis, Jarrad Grant. See if you can arrange trades for Brandon Matera, Tom Nicholls, Aaron Hall and Matt Shaw for either draft picks or established inside midfielders.
- Garreth Edwards, Richmond Vic

'Don't worry about the young boys'

If we can get at least a second-round pick for Gary Ablett, I would trade him and a number of fringe players such as Trent Mackenzie, Ryan Davis, Tom Nicholls and Jarrad Grant. We need another quality, young midfielder as well as a medium-sized forward and defender. I would focus on players this trade period as we have enough quality young players.
- Ryan McClure, Gold Coast Qld

Dream trades

First and second-round pick for Josh Kelly and a third-round pick.
- Stefano Alfonso, Melbourne Vic

Trade Gary Ablett for a second-round pick and send that pick to Richmond for Anthony Miles.
- Liam Ogilvie, Darwin NT

Gary Ablett to Geelong for Jake Kolodjashnij, Jackson Thurlow and third-round draft pick
- Josh Sullivan, Perth WA

Aaron Hall to Adelaide and a mid-to-late second-round draft pick for Jake Lever.
- Joshua Thiesz, Loganholme Qld

You're the list manager

'Shake up the leadership team'

Make Callan Ward captain and Phil Davis the vice-captain. Delist Tendai Mzungu and keep Josh Kelly, Jacob Hopper and Devon Smith. Trade Ryan Griffen, but keep Brett Deledio.
- James Chapman, Perth WA

'Don't lose our young stars'

Priorities are retaining Josh Kelly and Jacob Hopper, and searching for defensive small forwards.
- Peter Kent, Canberra ACT

Dream trades

Dream would be a quiet trade period. With no one leaving.
- Harry Smith, Parramatta NSW

Josh Kelly and Jacob Hopper traded to Carlton. Two first-round picks returned to GWS.
- Sam Westh, Chirnside Park Vic

Jacob Hopper to Richmond in exchange for Dustin Martin.
- Stu Goldfinch, Botany NSW

Dustin Martin for Josh Kelly if he decides he's leaving.
- Kanye Edwards, Ballarat Vic

You're the list manager

'Blood the youth'

Billy Hartung and Ryan Schoenmakers have had their chance and they can be moved on to another club. Shaun Burgoyne should keep playing and a big player like Jake Lever should be pursued.
- Riley Alexander, Hamilton Vic

'Toughen up the midfield'

Dustin Martin is the ideal player that we need to continue to regenerate our midfield, however it looks as though he will re-sign with the Tigers. A ready-made key defender should be targeted, and we should be targeting big-bodied midfielders in the draft.
- Tim Goodman, Caulfield Vic

'Land a star'

I think given our young talent, and a good mix of premiership veterans, we have to consider making a dash for real premiership contention in the next few years. Landing a star like Dustin Martin, Josh Kelly, Jacob Hopper or Jake Lever would help our confidence immensely, and elevate us into 'the real deal'.
- Russell Schnouza, Melbourne Vic

Luring Dustin Martin could return Hawthorn to the higher reaches of the ladder, fans say. Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Grant Birchall and a future first-round selection for Tom Lynch or Steven May from the Suns.
- Glenn Stuart, Frankston Vic

Paul Puopolo and Jack Gunston to GWS for Lachie Whitfield and second-round draft pick.
- Scott Johnson, Hobart Tas

Josh Kelly to Hawthorn in exchange for Paul Puopolo, Luke Breust and a third-round pick.
- Timothy McKay, Coragulac Vic

Dayne Zorko to Hawthorn in exchange for Taylor Duryea and a first-round draft pick.
- Luke Franklin, Perth WA

You're the list manager

'Desperate for defence'

I would go after Jake Lever as we are in desperate need for a key defender, because Sam Frost and Oscar McDonald are young and need time to develop into good key-position defenders. I would also go looking for an outside runner to complement our hard-nut ball-getters to get a good midfield balance.
- Sean Nathan, Mulgrove Vic

'Time's up, Jack'

The first priority is to secure a premium defender via trade, preferably Jake Lever. Delist Jack Trengove, he just doesn't have what it takes unfortunately. Draft either speedy midfielders or shut down defenders.
- Robert O'Bryan, Kew Vic

'Never mind about Lever'

Given our amazing defence and contested ball-winners, I believe we're fine not to go for Jake Lever, and would be much better off going for a classy outside runner. Our forward line deficiencies have been really glaring in this latter part of the season, so a proven tall and/or small forward would be fantastic.
- Abraham Lucas, Hobart Tas

Dream trades

A three-way trade with Jake Lever going to Melbourne, Dean Kent and Melbourne's first-round pick to Carlton, and Bryce Gibbs and their first-round pick to Adelaide.
- Connor Simpson, Williamstown Vic

First-round pick and Angus Brayshaw or Sam Weideman for Josh Kelly.
- Stefan van Boxtel, Upwey Vic

Josh Kelly to Melbourne in exchange for Dom Tyson and a first-round pick.
- Daniel Marshall, Sydney NSW

Jake Lever and Adelaide's second-round pick for Melbourne's first-round pick, second-round pick in 2018 and Alex Neal-Bullen.
- Gajan Thiyagarajah, Carlton Vic

You're the list manager

'Add the stars'

I would definitely look to add Josh Kelly and Dustin Martin as it would add the stardom that our midfield has been missing. It would bite into the salary cap temporarily, but when the salary cap rises their large contracts won't be too damaging. I would like to keep veterans Sam Gibson, Scott Thompson and Jarrad Waite as they provide good production when healthy. I would also like to keep youngsters Aaron Mullet, Corey Wagner and Declan Mountford as they have shown plenty of promise.
- Zac Reed, Perth WA

'Trade the veterans'

I would hope to acquire Josh Kelly and potentially trade Todd Goldstein, Sam Gibson, Lindsay Thomas and Lachie Hansen. These players could be traded for young players with potential or draft picks. If Lachie Hansen cannot be traded, then he should be delisted to make room for the younger defenders to be established. North should look to obtain a young ruckman in the draft, as well as a small forward.
- Ellen Lewis, Montmorency Vic

'Stop sacking legendary Roos'

Delist players that add no value to the team. Let legends of the club decide when they retire. Try to land big names to add value to the team.
- Ben Peppe, Howlong NSW

Dream trades

Todd Goldstein and one first-round draft pick to GWS in exchange for Josh Kelly.
- Michael Tassone, Coolbinia WA

David Swallow to North Melbourne in exchange for a first-round pick and Nathan Hrovat.
- Kieran Sibley, Canberra ACT

Picks three and 20 to GWS for Josh Kelly.
- Matt Black, Hobart Tas

Todd Goldstein and Shaun Atley to St. Kilda in exchange for Jack Billings.
- Reece Biles, Tullamarine Vic

You're the list manager

'Stick to the draft'

Focus on acquiring decent talent in the draft. As Port has traded out some of its picks for this year, attempt to trade out players like Matthew Lobbe who may be of some value to other clubs. Delistings should include Jimmy Toumpas and Angus Monfries to allow us to focus on the next generation of midfielders. Possibly look at bringing in another tall forward to sort out the team's forward structure and game plan.
- Damien Quick, Adelaide SA

'Sell Boak while you can'

I would look at getting value for Travis Boak while it's still there and look towards the future. We have a great mix of youth and experience in our midfield and I feel Boak is not in our long-term future.
- Luke Stevens, Stawell Vic

'Put our stars in the guts'

I would trade Jasper Pittard to Essendon for Orazio Fantasia. He would be a great forward for us and our defence is already very solid. Orazio would be a very fitting small forward, allowing Robbie Gray and Chad Wingard to play more in the centre.
- Daniel Fairbrother, Adelaide SA

Out, Pittard; in: Fantasia?. Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Jackson Trengove and our second-round draft pick in 2018 for Tom Rockliff.
- Tom Smith, Drysdale Vic

Trade Matthew Broadbent, Matthew Lobbe and Aaron Young to GWS for Jeremy Cameron and a second-round pick.
- Craig Jones, Trott Park SA

Sam Gray and a second-round pick for Steven Motlop from Geelong.
- Matt Roberts, Adelaide SA

Hamish Hartlett and Jasper Pittard to North Melbourne, North Melbourne's first-round pick to Brisbane, and Rockliff to Port.
- Robert Elliot, Gulfview Heights SA

You're the list manager

'Give Jack some help'

I would love to bring in power forward Tom Lynch from Gold Coast to partner Jack Riewoldt and our small forwards in attack. Ideally, Dustin Martin will re-sign and we will make a play for Josh Kelly from the Giants to add outside speed and skill. With our draft picks, we will target the best available talent, although a line-breaking half-back would be nice. Ivan Maric has already announced his retirement, so another ruckman to develop could be an option.
- Jesse Cox, Broome WA

'Take advantage of the open window'

The Tigers are in a premiership window, so I believe they need to target a marking forward who can also kick a few goals. Also look to bring in some young draft picks and target midfield depth.
- John Farrelly, Burwood East Vic

'It’s all in the method'

Step one, sign Dustin Martin. Step two, trade both of our first-round picks for an earlier pick and a second-rounder. Step three, trade the early pick for Tom Lynch from Gold Coast. Step four, draft Patrick Naish.
- Brenton Neilson, Carrum Downs Vic

Dream trades

Reece Conca and Ben Griffiths to Gold Coast in exchange for Peter Wright.
- Terri Prouse, Boronia Vic

Give Adelaide Anthony Miles and a second-round pick in exchange for Josh Jenkins and their fourth round-pick, which would help secure the father-son player Patrick Naish.
- Ryan Pritchard, Warrnambool Vic

Josh Kelly in exchange for Nick Vlastuin, Anthony Miles and a first-round pick.
- Darby Allen, Boisdale Vic

A first-round pick and a player, possibly Ben Lennon, to GWS in exchange for Jacob Hopper.
- Mitchell Waddell, Coolalinga NT

You're the list manager

'We have cash to splash on Kelly and Whitfield'

With Sean Dempster already retired, Nick Riewoldt retiring and Leigh Montagna likely to, we have cash to splash. Trade Blake Acres back to his home state of WA and David Armitage to Queensland. Also offload Tom Hickey, Jack Lonie, Daniel McKenzie and Jason Holmes for draft picks. Then use our two first-round picks and next year's first-rounder to lure Josh Kelly and Lachie Whitfield to the club. Also use a second-round pick gained from trading Tom Hickey, Jack Lonie, Daniel McKenzie and Jason Holmes to get Todd Goldstein from North. If all fails, trade the two first-rounders to the Brisbane Lions for pick No.1 and draft powerhouse Cam Rayner.
- Angus Rowe, Beaumaris Vic

'Forget Kelly, go for Lever'

Since Nick Riewoldt has retired, it is time for Leigh Montagna to do so as well. I would keep Sam Gilbert around for another season or two to help out with the backline, but wouldn't play him as much. Instead of chasing Josh Kelly, I would try lure someone like Jake Lever, because St Kilda already have more than enough midfielders including forwards who are going to move into the midfield like Jack Billings. But defence is our issue at the moment. I would look at giving away the Hawthorn first-round draft pick for Jake Lever and a second- or third-round pick.
- Max Ciappara, Cheltenham Vic

'Paddy McCartin is on the trade table'

I would try to bring in Josh Kelly or Lachie Whitfield, and be very open to trading Hugh Goddard, Paddy McCartin and Tom Hickey. Jason Holmes would go and list cloggers like Nathan Wright will be paid out, even though he still has a year on his contract after this. Re-signing Dylan Roberton and Jack Billings would be a priority, and I would look to contract Blake Acres for a lot longer. I have my eye on Jarrod Brander (Allies U18s) and would move heaven and earth to get him, should we not get Kelly and Whitfield. I would also make a play for Ollie Florent (Sydney).
- David Gazia, Beeliar WA

Dream trades

Luke Dunstan and our first-round pick to Adelaide for Jake Lever and their second-round pick. Then send our first and second-round picks for Josh Kelly and in return get their second and third-round picks.
- Stephen Scott, Hastings Vic

Hawthorn's first-round pick, St Kilda's first-round pick and Jack Lonie for Lachie Whitfield and Josh Kelly.
- Shane Bravo, Mickleham Vic

Tom Hickey, a first-round pick and second/future second-round pick for Nic Naitanui.
- David Eikelis, Caufield South Vic

You're the list manager

'Turfing Tippett is vital'

The priority must be to trade Kurt Tippett, even if it means eating a portion of his salary to do so. Clearing whatever cap space they can is vital to be able to plug the myriad of holes on the roster, such as outside midfielder and half-back.
- Adam Grunstein, Double Bay NSW

'We need electrifying pace'

Trade Kurt Tippett, see what Brandon Jack and Michael Talia could get you. Bring in Charlie Cameron for second or third-round pick. We need electrifying outside speed. Also see if you can get Brandon Matera or Devon Smith for second or fourth-round pick to have another small forward. Could also bring in Trent 'The Cannon' McKenzie to kick from one side of the SCG to the other. One more year for Jarrad McVeigh as he's still good enough. Draft the best available tall forward with the first pick and give them time to mature.
- Alex Benn, Old Toongabbie NSW

'Let's make the Giants sick to the belly'

Tip him out, Kurt Tippett out to keep Sam Reid. Midfield speed is what we need. Like the famous number 14 before him, the Swans could use another Kelly, so get Josh. What a steal that would be, making the Giants sick to the belly! If we continue the wish list we could use some more help for Joey Kennedy and Luke Parker in and under. Why not add Tom Rockliff to the midfield and fix the Tom Mitchell trade blunder. Just because I'm greedy I'll take Mitch McGovern even though the accountant may not be loving it.
- Jack Gibb, Cooks Hill NSW

Dream trades

Josh Kelly for Callum Mills and a second-round draft pick.
- Andrew Donoghue, Brisbane Qld

Kurt Tippett and a second-round draft pick to Richmond in exchange for Corey Ellis and a fourth-round draft pick
- Tejas Dhir, Oakville, Canada

Give Tippett and our first-round pick in exchange for Jackson Trengove.
- Jaymie Andrew, Valley View NSW

Kurt Tippett to North Melbourne and a second-round draft pick for Todd Goldstein.
- Stathis Galiatsatos, Vic

'Double our McGoverns'

Pick up a few good mature age recruits in Liam Ryan as a small forward and Tim Kelly as an in and under big-bodied midfielder. Then try to attract Mitch McGovern, but if not, we have to keep Jeremy. Go back to draft and rebuild from there.
- Adam Lee, Leeming WA

'We need a good midfielder with pace'

We're losing great players in Sam Mitchell and Matt Priddis, so therefore need to try and draft a good midfielder with a bit of pace and can win contested possessions. Would also offer $500,000-$600,000 a year for 3-5 years aimed at Mitch McGovern. I would also extend Jeremy McGovern's, Elliot Yeo's, Liam Duggan's and Simon Tunbridge's contracts. Also look to pick up either Hayden Ballantyne or Lindsay Thomas on short-term deals to try and add some X-factor to the team line-up.
- Damon Black, Carnarvon WA

'Bring in the Cannon'

Sam Butler, Eric Mackenzie, Jonathan Giles and Mark LeCras to retire, look at using Jack Darling as a trade and a second-round pick to get in Mitch McGovern from Adelaide, trade Chris Masten to get in Brandon Matera from Gold Coast, try to keep a first-round pick for a larger and quick type mid. Trent Mackenzie needs a change of environment, his booming kick from half-back alongside Shannon Hurn could be a great addition.
- Ken Reynolds, Denham WA

Mitch McGovern is set to get a big offer to head back west. Picture: AFL Photos

Dream trades

Jack Darling and first-round pick to GWS for Josh Kelly.
- Raheel Kamal, Mernda Vic

Chris Masten, Jackson Nelson and a first-round pick to Adelaide in exchange for Mitch McGovern and a first-round pick.
- Yeni Troop, Thornbury Vic

Chris Masten, Andrew Gaff and a second or third-round pick to GWS for Stephen Coniglio.
- Leon Schneider, Jerusalem, Israel

You're the list manager

'Jake Lever is a must'

Due to the upcoming retirements of experienced backmen, bringing in a first-class backman in Jake Lever would be a must for this upcoming off season. As well as this, throwing our hat in the ring for an experienced "hard nut" midfielder/forward would not go amiss either. Going into the draft it would also be good to stock ourselves with 3-4 first and second-round draft picks, by trading down our higher picks and sacrificing next year's picks for the benefit of this talent-filled draft.
- Alex Ryan, Riddells Creek Vic

'Trade hard to land Lever'

Given probable departures of Matthew Boyd and Dale Morris and loosening of the money belt, I would shore up the defence plus look for some outside runners who can deliver the ball. I would use our top-10 pick (we will finish 11th) on a young, speedy runner or a forward and trade Jake Stringer to gain a pick to on-trade for Jake Lever. If that fails, trade for another tall. Travis Cloke will be delisted and if Tom Boyd moves on expect aggressive trading.
- Warren Duncan, Dingley Village Vic

'See if Jasper Pittard wants to move home'

With Matthew Boyd and Bob Murphy retiring and the unlikelihood of Dale Morris continuing we need to bolster our backline. Bring in Jake Lever for Stewart Crameri and a second-round pick, and see if Jasper Pittard is interested in moving home. Delist Hamilton, Lynch, Smith and Prudden to make way for draftees. Target key position players. A strong, tall backman is No.1 priority. Then with the likely retirement of Cloke and Dickson in the next few years, and Tom Boyd and Redpath's failure to become match-winning forwards, invest in a proven forward, who has the potential to break games open no matter their size.
- Abbey Heggen, Ballarat Vic

Dream trades

First-round pick and next year's first-round pick to Gold Coast for Tom Lynch and next year's fourth-round pick.
- Nathan Moore, Perth WA

Mitch Honeychurch, Jack Redpath and our first-round pick (18th obviously) for Ben Brown and Robbie Tarrant.
- Oscar Bolt, Caulfield North Vic

Jake Lever to the Western Bulldogs in exchange for a first-round pick in 2017 and Lukas Webb.
- Zack Foster, Newcastle NSW
