ADELAIDE will give full-back Daniel Talia every chance of overcoming an ankle injury in time for Sunday's clash with West Coast at Domain Stadium.

Talia rolled his ankle in the first quarter of last Friday night's three-point loss to Sydney at Adelaide Oval, but the durable defender returned to finish the game.

"Scans have revealed only minor damage," Crows general manager of high performance Matt Hass told afc.com.au

"Luckily, we’ve got a nine-day break leading into (the) West Coast (game).

"We’ll do everything we can to get him up."

The ladder-leading Crows will know by the first bounce in Perth whether they need to beat the Eagles to claim their first minor premiership since 2005, or if the McClelland Trophy is safely in their keeping.

If Talia fails to come up, the Crows could recall fellow key defender Kyle Hartigan, who made a successful return from a hamstring injury in the SANFL last weekend.

Utility Andy Otten could also be available for selection after missing the past two games with an ankle injury sustained at training.

"It (the injury) is starting to settle now and he’s joining in modified training," Hass said.

However, the Crows won't be able to call on first-year midfielder Jordan Gallucci for the rest of the season after fracturing his jaw in the SANFL.

Gallucci, 19, made his AFL debut in the Crows' round nine victory against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

"Jordan Gallucci received a pretty heavy knock to the jaw, which fractured it in two places," Hass said.

"It required surgery, which was done yesterday.

"All went well, but unfortunately he’ll miss the rest of the season."
