VETERAN Western Bulldogs recruiter Simon Dalrymple is joining Sydney as the recruiting reshuffle continues.

Dalrymple was contracted for another year at the Kennel, but a mutual agreement was struck.

Dalrymple will be the Swans' national recruiting manager, while Kinnear Beatson was promoted to general manager of list strategy and recruiting.

"I would like to take this chance to thank all of the staff at the Western Bulldogs for their support during my time at the club," Dalrymple told westernbulldogs.com.au.

"It has been a significant chapter of my career, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given.

"However, after more than a decade at the club, I believe it's the right time for me to take on a fresh challenge."

AFL.com.au understands Dalrymple and the Bulldogs' football director Chris Grant did not always see eye to eye.

"Simon has been a valuable contributor to the Western Bulldogs over a long period of time and I wish him and his family all the best in his future endeavours," Grant said.

"We are looking forward to Sam Power and his recruiting and list management team continuing to strengthen the club's playing list under the team's recently changed and expanded structure."

Power joined the club as list and recruiting manager in December, filling the vacancy left by Jason McCartney, who went to Greater Western Sydney.

Michael Agresta recently left Sydney's recruiting team for Carlton.

Chris Keane, previously an opposition analyst at GWS, has also crossed to the Swans to be a senior data analyst.

National futures co-ordinator Ross Monaghan will stay at Sydney, after joining the club 12 months ago.

"We believe we have a fantastic team of people in place to take our playing list forward in 2018 and beyond," football manager Tom Harley told sydneyswans.com.au.

"I'd like to congratulate Kinnear on his elevation and welcome Simon and Chris to the club."
