INJURED Greater Western Sydney forward Zac Langdon has signed a one-year contract extension that will see him committed to the Giants until the end of 2020.

Langdon, who is nursing a broken hand, was drafted at No.56 last year and played the first two games of the season, but has been sidelined with the injury since.

"I've only been here a few months, but I felt comfortable as soon as I walked through the doors, so when it got brought up it was pretty easy for me to extend," Langdon told gwsgiants.com.au.

"I'm really excited about it and just can't wait to see what my future is here.

"I'm loving it here. It's my first time in Sydney but I'm loving what we've got here, and the beaches are really nice. The boys have been getting around me, so it's been a really easy transition."

The West Australian adds toughness to the Giants' classy side and at 22, is mature enough to contribute within months of being recruited.

"Zac has been a tremendous addition to our list since he arrived last pre-season and I commend our recruiting team on their conviction to pick him up later on in the draft," list manager Jason McCartney said.

"Zac's proven himself to be a valuable member of our forward line in just the two games he's played, but more than that, he's a fantastic person and has slotted into our group seamlessly.

"We're thrilled he's extended his contract with the club and can't wait to see him back out on the field in the very near future."
