WESTERN Australia and NSW/ACT had successful weekends in the NAB AFL Women's Under-18 Championships.

The girls from the west won both games against Queensland at Domain Stadium.

ALL THE RESULTS: AFLW U18 championships

Kate Bartlett kicked the winning goal in the first three-point win, and the team coasted to a comfortable 20-point win in the second.

"Queensland would be disappointed not to come away with at least one win, they deserved to win one of them," WA coach Trent Cooper told AFL.com.au.

"Our backline were absolutely superb in repelling a lot of their entries, limiting the damage and kept us in contact so when we did have our good quarters, it was enough to kick a winning score."

Dee Heslop, a NAB AFLW Academy member who won't be eligible to be drafted until next year, led the way for Queensland, while Charlotte Hammans and Jemma Abbott top-scored for the side.

Versatile tall McKenzie Dowrick, 18, was Western Australia's best over the two matches, with Bartlett and Mikayla Hyde the team's leading goalkickers.

Dowrick's younger sister Abbey, 15, starred in the second match.

"They're completely different players," Cooper said.

"McKenzie's composed with really good skills and a penetrating kick, while Abbey's more your crash-and-bash, ultra-competitive player, she wins a lot of contested ball and gets it moving forward."

NSW/ACT was far too strong for Tasmania, winning by 36 and 41 points in their two matches.

Tough midfielder Alyce Parker won her side's MVP for a second consecutive year. She is eligible to be drafted in October.

Lillian Doyle (NSW/ACT) and Mya Slatter (Tasmania) were their sides' leading goalkickers, with Mia King named Tasmania's MVP.

The two sides will now come together to form the Eastern Allies, who will take on Vic Metro, Vic Country, Western Australia, Queensland and the Central Allies (a combined South Australia-Northern Territory team) for series two of the championships on the Gold Coast in July.

Vic Metro and Vic Country will round out series one on June 16 at GMHBA Stadium at 1pm.
