The AFL advises it has completed the Match Review of the Saturday / Sunday Round 13 matches. Please find below the charges laid and also those matters that were explained in detail.

Charges laid:

Dustin Martin, Richmond, has been charged with a second offence for making careless contact with umpire Jacob Mollison during the third quarter of the Round 13 match between Richmond and the Geelong Cats, played at the MCG on Sunday June 17, 2018.

In summary, he can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.

Making careless contact with an umpire on a second occasion is a fixed financial sanction of $2500. The player can accept a $1500 sanction with an early plea.

Other incidents assessed:

Contact between Fremantle's Aaron Sandilands and Carlton's Patrick Cripps from the first quarter of Saturday’s match was reviewed. The ball was bounced in the Carlton forward line and Sandilands placed a block on Cripps, to shepherd for his team mate. It was the view of the Match Review Officer the contact was below the force required for a charge to be laid.
