HAWTHORN and Gold Coast will start as named for the round 14 clash at University of Tasmania in Launceston on Saturday afternoon.

In-form ruckman Ben McEvoy and small forward Paul Puopolo will both play for the Hawks having spent the few days leading into the match under a selection cloud given the impending arrival of babies in both families.

McEvoy’s availability may be a particularly big bonus for the Hawks given Jon Ceglar’s inability to overcome a corked quad he picked up against the Crows last weekend.

Ryan Burton, Ricky Henderson, Harry Morrison and Puopolo start on the bench for Hawthorn with debutant Jacob Dawson joined by Michael Rischitelli, Josh Schoenfeld and Nick Holman starting as Gold Coast’s interchange players.

The Suns have brought in tall timber of their own with 203cm forward Peter Wright making his first appearance for 2018 as Gold Coast searches for its first win since it beat the Lions in round 5.

The Hawks will be looking to stay in touch with the eight and ensure Tom Mitchell’s 100th AFL match is one to remember by consigning the Suns to an eighth consecutive loss.
