ADELAIDE star Rory Sloane is nursing a sore foot – just a month after resuming from a Lisfranc ligament strain.

The Crows' dual club champion had his foot stood on in Saturday night's five-point win against Brisbane.

Sloane, who recently put pen to paper on a five-year contract extension, played out the game after the incident happened early on, finishing with 16 disposals.

It was Sloane's fourth game back after he missed rounds 5-13, the first three with foot soreness before straining the Lisfranc ligament in his foot ahead of the round eight Showdown with Port Adelaide.

"As far as I know, he got trod on and played the rest of the game out, so I don't see what the issue is," Crows assistant coach Scott Camporeale said.

"If you've been trod on with footy boots, I dare say you'd have a pretty sore foot.

"We'll wait and see by the end of the week, but as far as I know, he's OK."

Former Crows captain, and now board member, Mark Ricciuto was concerned Sloane may have re-injured his foot.

"I did hear him say that he did hurt his foot in the game. I don't know if he just got stepped on, if he has re-injured his foot or if it was just a bruise," Ricciuto told Triple M on Monday morning.

"Hopefully, for Rory and the Crows' sake, he hasn't redone his foot, we will have to wait and see."

Defender Tom Doedee and forward Lachlan Murphy will have to pass concussion tests this week before they are cleared to face Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Midfielder Richard Douglas is unlikely to return this week from an ankle injury, while half-back flanker Brodie Smith is expected to spend another week in the SANFL after making his return from a knee reconstruction last weekend.
