GREATER Western Sydney ruckman Dawson Simpson is one of five players re-signed by the club, while Tim Mohr and Lachlan Tiziani have been delisted.

Simpson and Lachie Keeffe join rookies Dylan Buckley, Jack Buckley and Jake Stein in inking one-year deals.

Simpson, the former Geelong big man, is an important signing for the Giants after they traded ruckman Rory Lobb to Fremantle.

GWS is yet to formally announce whether they will bring disgraced ruckman Shane Mumford out of retirement after a video emerged during the week of Mumford snorting a white powder.

GIANTS 'DISTRESSED' Mumford return could be on hold

The delisting of key defender Tim Mohr (48 games) and untried midfielder Tiziani makes seven players to exit the Giants, with Dylan Shiel (Essendon), Will Setterfield (Carlton), Tom Scully (Hawthorn) joining Lobb in finding new homes during the NAB AFL Trade Period.

Midfielder Ryan Griffen announced his retirement at the end of the season.

"We thank Lachie and Tim for their contribution to the Giants during their time with us," said Giants list Manager Jason McCartney.

"Tim has been with us from the start and was an important player during our early years as he notched up 48 AFL games, which is no small feat.

"Lachie's a great young Academy kid who showed some positive progression earlier in the year before unfortunately suffering an ACL injury.

"We wish them both well in their future endeavours and once again congratulate Ryan Griffen on an outstanding AFL career."

The Giants hold picks 9, 11, 19, 25, 52 and 89 going into November's NAB AFL Draft at Marvel Stadium.
