BRODIE Grundy is weighing up a seven-year contract offer from Collingwood.

AFL.com.au understands the Pies have come to the party with a mega offer for the Virgin Australia AFL All Australian ruckman in recent weeks with Grundy now deliberating over terms while overseas.

The 25-year-old is due back at training in early December but could be secured at the Holden Centre before that time.

Grundy and his management, Connors Sports, have been open in recent times about the South Australian's wish for a long-term deal to secure his future.

A five-year deal had been put to Grundy post-season, however the Pies bumped up the offer in October in line with his demands.

Set to become a restricted free agent at the end of 2020, Grundy headlines a number of star re-signing priorities at the Pies in the next 12 months.

WHO NEEDS A CONTRACT? Your club's most intriguing unsigned player for 2020

Skipper Scott Pendlebury, forward Jordan De Goey, defender Darcy Moore and beanpole Mason Cox are all set to fall out of contract.

Adelaide has also been interested in luring Grundy out of Collingwood, but his heart has always been in black and white.

"Obviously, Collingwood gave me an opportunity to play AFL football and I love the club and where I am at, and personally what I give to the team," Grundy said at a Spring Racing launch in October.

"So if something was to eventuate … (that would be good). It's not like it is a closed shop.

"I am an open book and I am pretty transparent and I have been pretty transparent all the way through.

"The conversation is there (for seven years) … if they would like it."
