PORT Adelaide great Kane Cornes has threatened to reveal the identity of a 'big-name AFL player' who has been sending him abusive text messages while he is on-air during his radio show for SEN.

Cornes, who hosts regular radio shows in both Victoria and South Australia, believes the player does not know his identity is being shown when he is sending the text messages through to the station.

However, speaking on Sunday, the premiership player has warned he will publicly reveal their identity should the texts continue to be sent.

"There is a big name who is regularly sending me text messages to SEN when I am on air," Cornes said on Channel Nine.

"He does not know that his name comes up. This person is not anonymous.

"This is my warning for this big-name AFL player … if you continue to send these text messages in, I will out you and I will name you.

"I've been advised by management not to name the player. I won’t do it, but if it continues I will."
