McKenna, answering questions from fans on the @AFL twitter account, said rugby league convert Hunt had been performing strongly in lower level football after battling injuries last year.
"Karmichael had an interrupted post-Christmasperiod, his form has been good in the NEAFL," McKenna said.
"He's knocking on the door."
Hunt and Bock were two of the Suns' key recruits in the club's first season in 2011.
But injuries last season restricted Bock (broken leg) and Hunt (hamstring and calf) to just two and nine games respectively.
McKenna revealed Bock joined full training on Thursday.
He said the former Crow would need to build match fitness before an expected playing return in the coming weeks.
He said round four remained the return target for Bock.
In other responses to fans, McKenna said the club was aiming to win 12 games this season to earn its first finals berth, and also spoke about his admiration for Gary Ablett jnr.
He said he was disappointed when exciting prospect Jack Martin was struck down with an injury ten minutes into his debut game.
