ROUND SEVEN is the last normal round of NAB AFL Fantasy before the dreaded bye rounds begin.

Over the three weeks where six clubs per round will be putting their feet up, the overall Fantasy Classic competition and most leagues will continue, albeit with different rules.

Instead of your weekly score coming from the 22 players on the ground, only the best 18 will count for rounds eight, nine and ten.

It is important to note that these 18 scoring players must come from within your on-field 22. For example, even if you have all ten midfielders playing on any given round, only eight will count. Emergencies will only be added if a player selected on the ground doesn't play.

Coaches should use their two trades this week to help with their bye structure and make sure they're fielding at least 18 players each week. Roy has a few thoughts on the subject.

This round we have two more Fantasy Match Day games with $250 and an AFL Live Pass up for grabs in each game.

In Carlton v Collingwood, Jamie Elliott might be a good forward inclusion after kicking five goals on the Blues last year. He is also averaging 100 points over the last four matches this season. Get your selections for this game in by 7.50pm (AEST)

A sound captaincy choice for Essendon v Western Bulldogs would be Brent Stanton. As Calvin mentioned this week, Stanton has scored 143 and 136 in his last two matches this year, and in his last four against the Bulldogs he's returned scores of 107, 111, 153 and 137. Selections for this Match Day game must be in by 7.40pm (AEST).
