PORT Adelaide sharpshooter Jay Schulz did not train on Friday but he will be ready for Saturday night's semi-final with Fremantle, according to Port's director of coaching Shaun Hart.

The Power named an unchanged line-up to the side that obliterated Richmond in last Sunday's elimination final at Adelaide Oval.

Schulz was out on the track in his gear during Friday morning's training session at Patersons Stadium but did not participate in the majority of drills.

Hart said it was not uncommon for Schulz, who booted six goals against the Dockers in round 23, to skip training.

"We jokingly say he probably hasn't trained for the last month," Hart said.

"He's just a guy that needs to make sure that he's ready to play on game day."

Matt White has been named despite the crack in his jaw and Hart said the speedster would be a key asset on the wide expanses of Patersons Stadium.

The Dockers are without leading goalkicker Hayden Ballantyne following surgery on Monday to repair his broken jaw.

Nick Suban comes into the Dockers side as the only change from the team that lost to the Sydney Swans in the qualifying final.

Ballantyne kicked four goals against Port Adelaide a fortnight ago in the round 23 clash that secured Fremantle fourth spot.

The small forward was a catalyst for the nine-goal run in the second half that set up the eight-point win.

Hart said the Port coaching staff and the players had reviewed that game extensively and were certain history would not repeat.

"There was a fair bit of discussion about how that happened and what we did in amongst the goal after goal, in terms of in the coaches' box and how we'd handle that next time," Hart said.

"But I think the reality is that it's one of those things out of the box really and we certainly believe that we have some ways to counter what was going on at the time.

"Freo just kept kicking goals while we kicked points.

"So there wasn't necessarily a big momentum swing in terms of time in front half, it's just that they were hitting the scoreboard with six points and we were getting one point so that makes a big difference.

"We'll make sure though tomorrow that that's not any part of the game."

Port Adelaide hasn't beaten Fremantle in the last five meetings at Patersons Stadium, but Hart said the recent history is irrelevant.

"I don't buy into any of the history," Hart said.

"Ultimately, none of what happened two weeks ago will affect tomorrow."
