 Adelaide
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Lewis JohnstonKnee3 weeks
Jared PetrenkoShoulderTest
Brodie MartinAnkle4 weeks
Taylor WalkerKneeSeason

The Doc says: Petrenko was always considered a good chance for a round 14 return but will be tested at training. Martin was tipped to play after the bye but has had a setback with his ankle and has had extended time out now since round 10.

 Brisbane Lions
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Claye BeamsKneeSeason
Stefan MartinAnkleTest
Jared PolecAnkleTest
Stephen WrigleyKneeSeason

The Doc says: Hanley had sore neck after a big hit but suffered no concussion concerns. Martin and Polec are both lacking match fitness but may be outside chances – they may play at lower level

 Carlton
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
David EllardCalf2 weeks
Patrick McCarthyFoot6 weeks
Marc Murphy Cheekbone1-2 weeks
Rhys O'KeeffeFootIndefinite
Mitch RobinsonShoulderTest

The Doc says: Carrazzo is now in week nine after his initial calf injury but the club is confident he can play this week – probably at VFL level only with limited game time. Ellard and Murphy need more time to heal but Robinson (shoulder) is likely to play.

 Collingwood

Jack FrostKnee2-3 weeks
Tyson GoldsackHip1-2 weeks
Ben JohnsonCalf 2 weeks
Jackson RamsayWristAvailable
Ben ReidThighTest
Dale ThomasAnkleIndefinite
Alan TooveyKneeSeason

The Doc says: Cloke had a minor tendon repair over the bye break and can play with tape on his left hand. Young has played VFL and is ready for a senior recall. Ball is still a risk with his calf concern but will be tested late in week. Reid (thigh) should also be in contention after time off.

 ESSENDON
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Courtenay DempseyChestTest
Dustin FletcherGroinTest
Michael HurleyWristAvailable
Leroy JettaGroinTest

The Doc says: The bye has really helped the Bombers' sore players. Dempsey is ready to return if he completes a full week at training. The bye has also allowed Hurley (right wrist), Pears (left ankle) and Jetta (quad) to recover and all should be fit to push for selection.

 Fremantle

Sam MenegolaKnee8 weeks
Craig MollerQuad3 weeks
Anthony MorabitoKnee2-3 weeks
David MundyCalfTest
Matthew PavlichAchilles1 week
Aaron SandilandsHamstring1-2 weeks
Hayden SchloitheCalfTest

The Doc says: Barlow had minor jaw stabilisation surgery after sustaining a fracture on Sunday but is at risk if he plays this week so he must be considered doubtful. Sandilands and Pavlich are on the cusp of full recovery after significant operations. Morabito (ACL revision surgery) is unlikely to be fully risked before August. Mundy was a late withdrawal and will be nursed all week – still in doubt.

Daniel MenzelKneeSeason
Jared RiversKnee1-2 weeks
Jackson SheringhamShoulder, hamstring1-2 weeks
Billie SmedtsConcussionTest
Travis VarcoeShoulder2-3 weeks
Nathan VardyBackTest
Trent WestBackTest

The Doc says: The Cats have no new concerns after their shock loss to the Lions. McIntosh, Varcoe and Rivers may have a run in the VFL in the next two weeks. West and Vardy should both be ready for full testing. Smedts was concussed in the VFL game and will be monitored all week.

Henry SchadeAnkleTBC
Zac SmithKneeSeason
Matthew WarnockArmTest
Joel WilkinsonAnkleTest

The Doc says: Dixon, Warnock and Wilkinson should all be OK to play. Bennell is still at some risk. Bock has played at lower level but is still getting calf and shin soreness and will be slow. Rischitelli has major medial elbow instability and may yet require stabilisation surgery if not settling.

  Greater Western Sydney
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Dean BroganBackTest
Chad CornesKneeIndefinite
Phil DavisBackTest
Jonathon PattonKneeSeason
Rhys PalmerFootTest
Andrew PhillipsHamstring6 weeks

The Doc says: Brogan and Wilson should be right to play if required. Palmer will need a full week of training before facing a fitness test.

  Hawthorn

Amos FrankKnee4-6 weeks
Josh GibsonAnkleTest
Paul PuopoloQuadTest
Cyril RioliHamstringTest
Ryan SchoenmakersKneeSeason
Isaac SmithCalfTest
Matt SucklingKneeSeason
Alex WoodwardKneeSeason

The Doc says: Birchall had a right knee impact injury but played on in the match but now scans have revealed a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) injury. The club is saying four to six weeks, which is optimistic. This is an unpredictable injury and some players do not settle for eight to 10 weeks. Rioli is now in week nine after right hammy recurrence and I believe his confidence would be best helped with a limited run in the VFL this week if he trains well. Puopolo and Smith are outside chances only.

  Melbourne

James Frawley HamstringTest
Jack GrimesCollarbone2 weeks

Jordie McKenzieElbowTest
Nathan StarkAnkle3-4 weeks

The Doc says: Frawley and McKenzie are likely to play if they complete full training late in the week. Jamar and Evans are big losses and the Demons' depth is being tested at the moment.

  North Melbourne
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Tom CurranFootSeason
Scott McMahonAnkleTest
Robbie TarrantLeg1 week
Lindsay ThomasHamstring1-2 weeks

The Doc says: Thomas has a left hammy concern and is likely to miss one to two games at best. McMahon may be right for full testing.

  Port Adelaide
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Travis BoakFingerTest
John ButcherIllnessTest
Sam ColquhounHamstringTest
Cameron HitchcockAnkleTest
Paul StewartBackTest
Jarrad ReddenShoulderSeason
Jackson TrengoveFootTest

The Doc says: Boak will train this week with a guard on his finger. Redden has had hip surgery and will now have a shoulder reco to prepare for 2014. Hitchcock is an outside chance to return as is Stewart.

  Richmond
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
David AstburyHamstring1-2 weeks
Troy ChaplinKneeTest
Ben DarrouJaw4-5 weeks
Dylan GrimesFoot3-4 weeks
Chris KnightsKneeSeason
Shane TuckShoulderTest
Cadeyn WilliamsShoulderSeason

The Doc says: Astbury has a new hamstring injury and may miss one to two games. Chaplin has chronic knee wear and cartilage loss, and had surgery late in the 2012 season after an earlier injury. He twisted his knee late in the game on Saturday night so will need time to settle. The club will assess later in the week if the knee is not swollen and he can run freely, however he is in some doubt. Tuck had surgery for a scapula fracture five weeks ago and will likely need one to two more weeks.

 St Kilda
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Jason BlakeCalf2-3 weeks
Sam FisherToeSeason
Sam GilbertKnee3-5 weeks
Lenny HayesCalfTest
Tom LeeAchillesTest
Beau MaisterHamstring5-7 weeks
Daniel MarkworthACLSeason
Darren MinchingtonHamstringTest
Adam SchneiderHamstringTest

The Doc says: Hayes has missed four weeks but should be close; it depends on the club's attitude to risk. Blake will need two to three more weeks before full testing. Fisher has a chronic toe joint injury that has not settled – surgery will end his 2013 season but he should be OK for pre-season. Schneider last played seniors in round two and has clearly not settled as expected.

  Sydney Swans

Shane MumfordFace1-2 weeks
Sam NaismithKneeIndefinite
Sam ReidQuadTest
Lewis Roberts-ThomsonKneeIndefinite
Gary RohanLeg2-3 weeks
Rhyce ShawAbdomen2 weeks
Tommy WalshHamstringSeason

The Doc says: Goodes jarred then twisted his 'old' PCL deficient right knee. He came up sore so the Swans are taking a conservative approach this week in the hope there is no new structural damage and he will settle again by round 16. No surgery is required. Reid and Everitt are both likely to be available if they train well this week.

  West Coast
PlayerInjuryEstimated Return
Brant ColledgeHamstring3-4 weeks
Brad DickHamstring1 week
Shannon HurnAnkle9-10 weeks
Adam SelwoodBack2 weeks
Scott SelwoodThumb6-8 weeks
Luke ShueyShoulderTest
Beau WatersQuadTest
Sharrod WellinghamAnkle2-3 weeks

The Doc says: Hurn broke down in the first 10 minutes on Saturday night - he has subluxing peroneal tendons and lateral ligament damage and needs surgery to stabilise his ankle. He will miss at least eight to 10 weeks and will struggle to return in 2013. Selwood broke his right thumb and surgery will mean five to six weeks off and then he'll need to play with a guard and taping. Shuey has a chronic left AC joint/shoulder problem – he took a big hit on Saturday and will be sore with a test to come later in the week.
