MELBOURNE CEO Peter Jackson remained tight lipped as he entered AFL House at 9:30am on Friday to present his plan for the ailing Demons to the AFL Commission.

Jackson and president Don McLardy will give a paper to the Commission outlining the plans the club have to move forward.

Jackson took over as interim CEO after the club sacked Cameron Schwab following the team's 148-point loss to Essendon in round two.

He promised to focus his energies on examining the activity of the football department and to gather information before making change.

AFL CEO Andrew Demetriou said the League looked forward to seeing how it could help the Demons, but a decision on any assistance package was unlikely to be made on Friday.

"We will get an opportunity to hear first hand all the issues that exist at the club and the plan going forward," Demetriou told 3AW on Friday morning.

"This is the first opportunity the commission has had to hear about the Melbourne Football Club and to get an idea about the plans they have going forward [and] what actions they intend taking.

"Our role purely and simply is to help the football club [and] see what we can do to get this football club on a rebuild.

"It's important for the competition that we have a strong Melbourne Football Club.

"Any club in this situation we would do our best to help."

Jackson appointed an executive team of Josh Mahoney, Jennifer Watt and Matthew Green to assist him as he worked his way through the issues relevant to Melbourne.

He has made it clear there will be changes but he will not be rushed into making them until he has a plan in place for the club's future.

He has not yet interviewed all staff but his presence has been felt at the club as he gathers information on what is required.
