CHAMPION Brisbane Lions midfielder Simon Black is no longer a top 100 player, according to the Official AFL Player Ratings, brought to you by Vero.

During recent weeks there has been plenty of movement in the ratings and the veteran Brownlow medallist is one of the big sliders, along with Collingwood veteran Alan Didak.

Adelaide's Patrick Dangerfield, who started the season at No.15, has surged to No.3, while Essendon skipper Jobe Watson, who was No.8 after round six, has charged up to No.5.

In round 13 some of the highest-rated players will be going head-to-head, while many players have the chance to dramatically improve their ratings with good performances.

On the flipside, a number of players need to be near their best or they will slide down the pecking order when the updated ratings are released on Monday, June 24.

KEY MATCH-UPS THIS WEEKEND
The general consensus is that Richmond will easily account for the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night. But the duel in the ruck between Ivan Maric and Will Minson promises to be a beauty.

When the AFL.com.au reporters chose their All Australian team during the week, Minson won the position as starting ruckman. And his good form this year has been reflected in the player ratings, with the Dogs' big man climbing from No.196 at the start of the season to his current position of No.115.

Still, Maric showed last weekend against his former club Adelaide that he remains a force to be reckoned with. Although his form has been patchy this year, Maric is still rated the fifth-best ruckman in the competition.

PLAYERS ON THE UP
Port Adelaide midfielder Chad Wingard is enjoying an outstanding season and this has been reflected in his rise up the player ratings table. He rose another 39 places last weekend, so after starting the season at No.370 he heads in to round 13 at No. 207. Wingard is now rated No.9 of all Port Adelaide players.

PLAYERS WHO NEED TO LIFT
Alan Didak's inability to hold his place in Collingwood's team this season has severely impacted his standing in the player ratings. Didak began the season at No.300, but after managing only two AFL games during the Magpies' 2013 campaign he has slipped to No. 405.
