WHERE AND WHEN

Etihad Stadium, Sunday March 3, 5.10pm

MISSING
St Kilda:
Daniel Markworth (knee). Coach Scott Watters said Nick Riewoldt would likely enter the NAB Cup in week three or four while Lenny Hayes, Sam Fisher, Sean Dempster and Adam Schneider (the others who missed the first round) are chances to come in.
Sydney Swans: Adam Goodes, Nick Smith, Marty Mattner, Kurt Tippett, Gary Rohan.

LAST WEEK
St Kilda:
The Saints baked in the South Australian heat on February 17 when they played Adelaide and Port Adelaide at AAMI Stadium. They had an easy 26-point win over a depleted Adelaide outfit before the searing conditions worked against them when they faced a fresh Power team that overran them by 50 points.
Sydney Swans: In a surprise result, the reigning premiers were beaten by Carlton (by 22 points) and Greater Western Sydney (by 24 points) at Blacktown on Sunday. Later, coach John Longmire said his team lacked competitiveness and composure and failed to take its chances.

WHAT THEY SAY
St Kilda:
"[winning the NAB Cup] is certainly not a focus. We want to be competitive every time we play ... players want to come and win. But is winning the NAB Cup a focus? Not at all." – Coach Scott Watters.
Sydney Swans: "We've still got time. We've still got five weeks before the start of the season to get ourselves in the right condition and have all of our senior players back. But we still would have liked to be a bit more competitive than what we were today." – Coach John Longmire after last weekend.

WE SAY
St Kilda:
The Saints will start bringing in their big guns over the next few weeks and could assemble a line-up that looks close to what they'll produce in round one as early as this Sunday. Still, it's all about experimentation for Watters so expect some young players to get a run as well.
Sydney Swans: The Swans won't be too stressed about their losses last week, especially given their pre-season schedule is behind other teams' because of their Grand Final berth and subsequent celebrations. Getting game time into their players is paramount for the Swans but they'll still want to be better than last week when they face the Saints.
