WEST Coast veteran Andrew Embley faces a nervous wait following an incident that left Clancee Pearce heavily concussed during the third term of Fremantle's 28-point over the Eagles at Patersons Stadium.

Pearce was subbed out of the game after he put his head over the ball and was struck high by Embley's bump.

The Match Review Panel rubbed out Embley for a week in round 14 after he kneed Hawthorn's Ben Stratton. He has 68.75 carryover points from that incident.

West Coast John Worsfold was fearful of the consequences for Embley after seeing the incident live.

"I only saw it when it happened so I haven't seen a replay of it," Worsfold said after the match.

"There is always a concern there. But we'll wait and see.

"The early indication is that Pearce hurt his shoulder. But we'll wait and see if that is the case."

Another suspension for Embley would be big blow to West Coast. The Eagles are struggling to get their best 22 on to the field due to a horror spate of injuries.

The Eagles were missing Scott Selwood, Adam Selwood, Shannon Hurn, Beau Waters, Sharrod Wellingham, Luke Shuey, Brad Sheppard and Daniel Kerr against Fremantle.

West Coast could possibly gain Shuey, Kerr, Wellingham and Adam Selwood for next Sunday's clash against the Sydney Swans but Worsfold could not commit to any of them.

"I can't guarantee probably any of them, but we would expect that Shuey would be right," Worsfold said.

"Then it's a call around Kerr, Wellingham - are they ready to step in and add to the team better than what the boys that are out there have been?"

Despite the Eagles losing three of their past four matches and slumping to 10th on the ladder, Worsfold was proud of his team's performance against the Dockers.

"I was disappointed to lose the game. But the effort and intensity was pretty good," Worsfold said.

"We were running on empty a bit late in the game, which took its toll on us."

Worsfold was especially pleased with the performance of Jack Darling who kicked his fourth bag of five goals for the season.

"He's a wonderful young man who is working extremely well," Worsfold said.

"You pick some other key forwards out who have impacted the game in their first couple of seasons before they hit 21 or 22 - he's up there with the best of them I would expect."
