GOLD Coast is sweating on scans to key players Tom Lynch and Michael Rischitelli as it continues to try to defy a lengthening injury list.

Lynch was involved in a heavy collision with Bomber Jake Melksham in the second quarter of Saturday's match at Etihad Stadium. He was subsequently subbed out and ended the game on crutches.

The developing big man injured the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and a Gold Coast spokesman confirmed to AFL.com.au that Lynch will have scans in Melbourne on Monday.

Depending on the severity of the injury, Lynch could miss several weeks.

Lynch's injury is set to test the Suns' big man stocks, with the club already losing ruckman Zac Smith (knee) for the season, while Charlie Dixon struggles to overcome an ankle injury.

Rischitelli injured his elbow – not his forearm – after a heavy clash with Essendon's Alwyn Davey.

The experienced midfielder flew back to Queensland on Sunday morning and will have an MRI on Monday.

Despite a minor foot complaint, speedy half-back Joel Wilkinson is almost certain to be available for the Suns' next game, after the bye, against Adelaide on June 29.

Wilkinson played out the game against Essendon and after completing the necessary rehab, will be right to take his place against the Crows.
