CARLTON is confident midfielder Andrew Carrazzo will be available next week after he was a late withdrawal for Monday night's clash against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

Carrazzo, who also missed the Blues' round six match against Melbourne, was withdrawn as a precaution after experiencing calf tightness in the build-up to Monday's match.

Jaryd Cachia came into the Carlton team for his second senior game, while at St Kilda Farren Ray was a late replacement for dropped run-with player Clint Jones.

Carrazzo's injury cloud was revealed exclusively on AFL.com.au earlier in the day, with cameras filming Carrazzo as he left a Melbourne scanning clinic hours before the game.

Scans revealed little damage and the Blues said he was expected to return against Port Adelaide on Sunday.
