AUSTRALIAN music legends Daryl Braithwaite, Joe Camilleri, James Reyne and Ross Wilson will perform live at the MCG ahead of Thursday's Anzac Day clash between Collingwood and Essendon.

The quartet, all fixtures on the national music scene for decades, will perform a medley of their greatest hits before the on-field Anzac Day observance ceremony.

They will take to the stage at just after 2pm, a little over half an hour before the start of the game at 2.40pm AEST.

The Army band will also feature as part of the pre-match entertainment, while a motorcade around the MCG boundary line will give fans a chance to recognise war veterans.

After performing at the clash, Braithwaite, Camilleri, Reyne and Wilson will tour the country, playing shows in Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide, Perth, Tweed Heads, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle as part of the Apia Time of My Life Tour.
