In the lead up to this week’s crucial match against the Gold Coast, the entire Bulldog Playing Squad took some time out to visit many of our youngest fans at our Bulldogs Friendly Schools.

Players visited 28 schools throughout Melbourne’s West to help spread the word about the importance of healthy eating and exercise and talk about the core values of footy - leadership, fair play, teamwork, respect and harmony.

During the day the Western Bulldogs launched the new specially designed ‘Bulldog Activity Book’ which includes fun activities that teach kids about their favourite players and encourage them to discover their own strengths and skills.

4,000 students are set to receive the ‘Bulldog Activity Book’ a Club initiative that compliments the classroom talks and outdoor activity school clinics conducted by the Team.

A significant part of our Community Club strategy, Bulldogs Friendly Schools reflects our commitment to the kids and families of the Western Region.

Introduced in 2006, this unique education initiative for both secondary and primary schools, is delivered to over 50 schools across the Maribyrnong, Brimbank, Hobson’s Bay, Wyndham and Melton municipalities.

These schools represent a massive 16,000 students.

All of the Team - including Bulldogs Friendly Schools ambassador, Ryan Griffen, were thrilled to see so many smiling faces during this weeks visit and look forward to continuing to teach the kids of the West about the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle and playing footy.
