West Coast Eagles youngsters Jeremy McGovern, Jarrad Oakley Nicholls, Lewis Broome and Jacob Brennan hit regional WA towns last week to visit children at local schools and junior football clubs.

McGovern headed to Albany, Oakley Nicholls and Broome visited kids in Bondoon, and Brennan ventured to Geraldton.

McGovern, a former North Albany football player himself, headed out to four schools to run football clinics before helping out at a local junior football club training session.

Great Southern Regional Football Manager Brent Sheridan said it was fantastic to have McGovern in the region.

“It was great to have an ex-local in town giving the kids an idea of how close the dream really is,” he said.

“He is very young but he was fantastic in relaying to the kids the pathway, along with the healthy lifestyles message.”
