BROUGHT TO YOU BYNAB

MELBOURNE has broken a four-year drought after talented teenager Luke Jackson was named the round 10 NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.

He is the Demons' first nomination for the award since they had four players nominated for the honour during the 2016 season.

RISING STARS Who's been nominated?

Jackson was named the round 10 nominee following his impressive performance against Adelaide last week.

The former star junior basketballer kicked two goals from eight disposals playing as a forward in the Demons' 51-point drubbing of the Crows.

Jackson was drafted by the Demons as a ruckman with pick No.3 at last year's intake with a number of clubs viewing him as a top-five talent.

He is spending most of his debut season as a forward, however, and pinch-hitting in the ruck alongside Melbourne skipper Max Gawn.

Jackson's showing against the Crows was the best of his five appearances at AFL level so far, having made his debut in round two against Carlton.
