DAVID Rodan says his knees are fine and is confident of getting another chance in the AFL after being delisted by Port Adelaide on Friday.

Rodan was one of seven players cut by new Power coach Ken Hinkley
, but after 176 career games (65 with Richmond and 111 with Port Adelaide), the dynamic midfielder says he still has good football in front of him.

"I just turned 29 last week and I still feel I've got a fair bit to offer and [I'm] hungry to play at the level," Rodan told Melbourne radio station SEN.

"Hopefully in the next few weeks I can find a new home and help them out."

Rodan has had a retched run with knee injuries over his career, including one complete reconstruction and twice undergoing LARS surgery after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament.

But despite playing just 10 games for the Power in 2012, he said the knees were not a problem.

"The knees are feeling great," he said.

"I just haven't been able to get many games. The blessing with me not playing many games, it gave my knees a bit more rest."

One of the most electric players in the competition with ball in hand, Rodan said he understood the Power's decision to cut him.

He said although it wasn't great hearing the news, he would be forever thankful to the club for throwing him a lifeline when he left Richmond at the end of 2006.

"We've had a difficult couple of years and some big decisions had to be made. I'm grown enough to know this is what happens. I've been through it before which helps me get through it now.

"This door closes and hopefully another one opens."

Rodan's manager Liam Pickering said he had already taken interest from a number of clubs.

"All of them like him, that's a good start. I would be very confident he'll get another opportunity," Pickering said.

"I'm very confident there are clubs out there that see he has a hell of a lot to offer still."
