BARRY Hall is in, Leo Barry is out, Matthew Richardson, Jason Porplyzia and Dustin Fletcher all return from injury and Crow Graham Johncock is a surprise omission in the team selections for round 17.

Hawthorn has opted for speed inside its forward 50 by bringing in exciting youngster Cameron Stokes for its big clash with the Cats at the MCG.

Stokes replaces the unlucky Jarryd Morton in the only change for Alastair Clarkson's side, with Shane Crawford yet to overcome a knee injury that will keep him out for one more week.

Morton though has been listed as an emergency and could yet make his way into the side if Luke Hodge's partner, Lauren Kirkman, gives birth. Hodge has stated his intention to attend the birth over the game.

Geelong, fresh from belting the second-placed Western Bulldogs last week, has named an unchanged line-up for the most anticipated game of the year.

Gary Ablett and Cameron Ling will again miss, while David Wojcinski will also have another week off with achilles soreness.

David Johnson, Simon Hogan and Shannon Byrnes have been named as emergencies for the Cats.

Essendon has regained veteran defender Fletcher for Saturday's clash with rival Collingwood at the MCG.

The 33-year-old returns from an ankle injury but the Bombers lose promising forward Jay Neagle with a similar complaint.

Angus Monfries and Andrew Welsh, who had been under an injury cloud, have both been passed fit for the clash.

Exciting forward Leon Davis will add zip to Collingwood's forward line as the Magpies try to bounce back from last week's loss to North Melbourne.

Davis is the only change for his side, with young defender Tyson Goldsack omitted from the 22.

The West Coast Eagles have made four changes for Saturday afternoon's clash with St Kilda at Subiaco Oval, with skipper Darren Glass the most notable exclusion.

Glass, who has looked hampered at stages this season, is out with a thigh injury while Josh Kennedy will miss with a knee complaint. Tim Houlihan and Ryan Davis have been dropped.

Returning for the Eagles are Michael Braun, Steven Armstrong, Mark Seaby and Matthew Spangher.

Meanwhile, St Kilda has brought in ruckman Michael Gardiner for his first match against his old club.

Gardiner will replace the suspended Justin Koschitzke in the only change for the Saints. The round 17 clash will mark the first time Gardiner has returned to Subiaco Oval since leaving the west.

Tiger Richardson, 33, has not played since injuring his hamstring late in the round 14 loss to Carlton with his inclusion a huge boost for Richmond ahead of Saturday night’s clash with the Lions.

Daniel Jackson has also earned a recall to the senior side with the pair replacing Cleve Hughes (back) and Dean Polo (omitted) in the side that defeated Essendon last week.

Danny Meyer, Greg Tivendale and Chris Hyde are the emergencies.

The Brisbane Lions have made two unforced changes with Jed Adcock and Justin Sherman recalled to the side at the expense of Rhan Hooper and Scott Harding.

Hooper and Harding are joined as emergencies by James Hawksley.

It wasn’t all good news at the selection table for the Sydney Swans with Hall and Nick Malceski’s returns countered by the loss of both Barry and Michael O’Loughlin.

The veteran pair suffered respective hamstring and ankle injuries in the two-point win over Carlton and have not come up for the home clash against the Crows.

Ryan O’Keefe (ankle) and Adam Goodes (groin) also picked up niggles during that match, but remain in the line-up. Ben Mathews, Nick Smith and Luke Brennan are the emergencies.

Adelaide coach Neil Craig has unveiled two surprises with the recall of Porplyzia and the axing of first-team regular Johncock, who has been sent back to the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL to regain some touch.

Porplyzia, 23, returns just two weeks after a shoulder dislocation threatened his season with Nick Gill and David Mackay also recalled.

Former Roo Brad Moran was omitted after making his debut for the Crows last week while Luke Jericho is out with a hamstring injury.

Port Adelaide will make at least three changes to the side that defeated the Crows in last week’s Showdown, with Chad Cornes succumbing to shoulder and knee injuries and Brendon Lade and Adam Thomson omitted.

Travis Boak has gone straight back into the starting 18 with Fabian Deluca, Toby Thurstans, Matthew Westhoff, Paul Stewart and Matthew Thomas on an expanded bench.

Fremantle has lost Brock O’Brien and Andrew Browne to injury with the pair to be replaced by Ryan Murphy and Paul Duffield.
