ZAC FISHER will remain at Carlton until at least the end of 2023 after signing a two-year contract extension.

Fisher, 22, was contracted to the Blues until the end of next year but, in a show of faith, he has extended his deal by a further two years. In more good news, Carlton confirmed on Tuesday that 21yo defender Tom Williamson had also been handed a two-year contract.

Fisher has played 55 of a possible 66 games in the past three seasons, but the speedster didn't play a senior game this year until round 11, when he booted four goals against West Coast in Perth in an unfamiliar role as a pressure forward.

"This year Zac has shown his versatility and commitment to do everything he can to help this football club succeed," Carlton's head of list management, Nick Austin, said.

"His ability to adapt to a new role up forward has added another aspect to his game and will be a real asset for our side moving forward.

"Our members and supporters enjoy seeing Zac electrify with his evasiveness and footy smarts. We look forward to seeing those traits and more for years to come at our football club."
