THE OPPORTUNITY

The Sydney Swans are currently accepting applications from suitably experienced individuals for the Product Manager - Retail position in our Consumer Business Department. This role will report directly to the Head of Consumer Business.

The Consumer Business team exists to give the Swans community amazing experiences and premium products. This position will have prime responsibility for the development and implementation of a high quality Fundraising and Merchandise program, which recognises opportunities through product development and positioning to ultimately improve revenue performance.

Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships & Marketing team, the Sydney Swans Foundation as well as our commercial partners, this role provides plenty of scope for growth and innovation across a range of traditional revenue streams for the football club.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analysing results and providing recommendations to optimise traditional sources of revenue in product streams related to:
    • Merchandise
    • Online Auctions
    • Memorabilia
    • Fundraising on behalf of the Sydney Swans Foundation
  • Working with our existing suppliers and partners to develop products which will appeal to our fans across these key sales functions.
  • Optimise the use of current e-commerce platforms and systems to deliver increased engagement and sales.
  • Collaborating with both the wider Consumer Business product team and Marketing teams to produce annual marketing plans for products and/or programs.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A candidate with 1-3 years’ experience in Merchandise or Product Assistant role looking to take the next step
  • Business acumen
  • Proven ability to engage with consumers
  • Contemporary marketing experience
  • Strong relationship management skills
