IT'S still hard to work out how we faded so badly against Richmond last Sunday, and all I can think of is that we might have got a bit comfortable when we were 33 points up.

Then Richmond kicked three goals in a row and all of a sudden they were close and it was a winnable margin. They had the momentum, which is a powerful thing, and the crowd was behind them, and it went from there.

It will be fantastic to be back at the SCG this Sunday, and I hope the crowd can get behind us and help us. Earlier this season, when we beat Brisbane, I described the SCG as 'electric', so it would be good to have a bit of that feeling again.

We learnt a lot from last Sunday, especially about composure - that was what we needed to stop their run, and graft a goal back that would have really helped us.

We let it slip away so it makes this week, and the seven games to follow, so important. We have to be ready for action in each and every one of them!

We had a lengthy meeting this week to dissect it all and now it’s really important that we train well on Friday, our last session before the game, and make sure we’ve moved on.

We just have to be able to produce our best on game day.

Last weekend was definitely a shock, and hopefully that’s what we needed to get it together. Maybe we got a bit ahead of ourselves, thinking we could just show up against Richmond and win.

Now it’s backs to the wall, and we have to show our fighting spirit against North Melbourne this Sunday at the SCG.
