West Coast Eagles’ Beau Waters took time off last week from his rehabilitation schedule to visit Cottesloe Primary School last Friday to accept a cheque on behalf of The Cancer Council WA.

Waters has been West Coast’s Cancer Council ambassador for a number years and a keen supporter of the charity.

Cottesloe Primary School raised funds for the Cancer Council by holding a free dress day for a gold coin donation where the students were told to dress in their football colours in the week leading up to the Derby clash.

The school held an assembly where Cottesloe Primary School student councillor Sean Kilpa presented Waters with a cheque for just over $280.

It was great to see so many children in Eagles colours!

The West Coast Eagles are proud supporters of the Cancer Council and are involved in various fundraising initiatives including Dig Deep Day, Me No Hair and Relay For Life.

July 12 will see round 15 against St Kilda dubbed Dig Deep Day where Eagles supporters will have the opportunity to raise money by donation or the purchase of Cancer Council merchandise to fundraise for this worthy cause.
