Formed in High School in 2007, Last Dinosaurs are a young indie power pop and rock four-piece from Brisbane whose debut EP ‘Back From The Dead’ from 2009 lead to invitations to play at key Australian Festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and Falls and to supporting the likes of Foster The People.

Their debut LP ‘In A Million Years’ was recorded on the NSW Central Coast and in Sydney and mixed in the UK by Eliot ‘Kaiser Chiefs’ James and released on Aussie indie label Dew Process in March of this year. Things are looking up for the Caskey brothers Sean (21, lead vocals and guitar) and Lachlan (18, lead guitar). Their ‘Honolulu’ single was a Summer anthem.

The infectious LP explores themes of transient relationships and youth over irresistible dance melodies. Single ‘Zoom’ explores making impressions on others and vice-versa. Simple concept, but so is kicking a goal from 30-metres out directly in front, but not everyone can master it. ‘Time and Peace’ is a homage to famous Japanese inventor Nikola Tesla. Band members Sean, Lach and Dan are half-Japanese and Last Dinosaurs have already played in Tokyo.

Last Dinosaurs were crowned the highlight gig of the Big Sound Australian Music Conference and can’t wait to bring their infectious pop music to a new audience through Live at the Footy.

Last Dinosaurs debut album In A Million Years in stores now.

Live at the Footy continues in Round 6 with Last Dinosaurs to perform at the match between St Kilda and Hawthorn at the MCG on Saturday night.
