The round kicked off on Friday night when Melbourne defeated Brisbane by six points at Casey Fields in Melbourne.

Greater Western Sydney defeated Fremantle by 18 points at Fremantle Oval in Saturday's first game before Adelaide beat Carlton by 35 points at Norwood Oval.

And on Sunday, the Bulldogs went a game clear on the top of the ladder with a fiery eight-point win over Collingwood in Moe.
