ELECTRIC Adelaide forward Eddie Betts is set to face former club Carlton at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.

Wednesday's main training session for the Crows promises to be an important one, with Betts (hamstring), skipper Taylor Walker (hamstring), vice-captain Rory Sloane (foot), defender Jake Kelly (hand) and midfielder David Mackay (glute) all having to prove their fitness.

Betts has missed the Crows' past two games after injuring his hamstring in Adelaide's round four loss to Collingwood.

Crows head of football Brett Burton said Betts was on track to return after making steady progress in his recovery.

"Eddie's had a couple of good weeks in rehab and trained with the main group earlier in the week," Burton told afc.com.au.

"We expect him to play if he gets through main training."

An All-Australian in each of the past three seasons, Betts has had a slow start to this year, booting just three goals in his first four games.

But the 31-year-old will be keen to put on a strong performance against the Blues, the club where he kicked 290 goals in 184 games from 2005-13.

Scans have cleared Walker of any significant damage after he sat out the second half of the Crows' win over Gold Coast last weekend with hamstring awareness.

"We'll warm him (Walker) up tomorrow (Wednesday) at main training," Burton said.

"If he gets through the warm-up, he'll get into the full session and if he gets through that he's available to play."

Sloane has missed the past two games with a foot strain, after carrying the injury earlier in the season.

"We made the investment to rest him (Sloane) the week before and he's obviously had two weeks off now," Burton said.

"That's just a week-to-week proposition and we'll assess that tomorrow at training."

Midfielder Brad Crouch will return from osteitis pubis in three-to-four weeks.
