COLLINGWOOD president Eddie McGuire might be fuming over the finals fixture, but Magpies coach Nathan Buckley couldn't care less.

Speaking on SEN on Tuesday morning, Buckley said he was not concerned about the scheduling of finals over the next three weeks.

"Nah, the football department doesn't have a problem with it," Buckley said.

"We have got a game to win on Saturday before it's a live issue.

"I think Ed sees it from a holistic perspective, as much as from a Collingwood perspective – if you can believe that.

"The common sense in all of us goes, well, there might be a better way.

"It's not front of mind for us. We hope to be able to debunk the hysteria abound it at the moment."

Collingwood plays Greater Western Sydney on Saturday with the winner to turn around and play a preliminary final against Richmond six days later.

The winner of Friday night's elimination final between Hawthorn and Melbourne will have eight days to prepare for a preliminary final against West Coast.

On Monday McGuire described the system as a "total cock up".

Buckley said he had no problem with his president voicing his opinions as strongly as he does.

"His job is in front of a microphone (for radio station Triple M) and his livelihood is based on being in the public arena, so that's a reality that we deal with – not just heading into a semi-final, but into round 10, into round two, into the off-season."
