The West Coast Eagles welcomed members with 20 years of consecutive membership to Patersons Stadium yesterday for the annual 20-Year Member Recognition Function.

Upon entering the function, members enjoyed light refreshments and drinks, while socialising with fellow long-time supporters.

Club legend Glen Jakovich kicked off the evening, speaking about the West Coast Eagles' revival in 2011 and exciting the crowd with his finals predictions.

Long-serving West Coast staff member and Sandover medallist Ian ‘Serge’ Miller was next to join the crowd, giving insight into the early days of match committee with Mick Malthouse.

Inaugural captain Ross Glendinning then spoke to the crowd about moving home to WA to take on the captaincy at West Coast during the height of his career at North Melbourne.

Chief executive officer Trevor Nisbett finished proceedings with a tribute to the loyal members, acknowledging their outstanding contribution over the past 20 years.

Before the evening ended, 20-year members took the chance to get a close look at the 1992 premiership cup on display, which was won during their first season as a West Coast Eagles member.
