Australian children are being encouraged to take part in the ‘Little Big Time’ following the launch today of the 2014 NAB AFL Auskick program and the opening of registrations for the season.

NAB AFL Auskick provides boys and girls aged between 5 to 12 years-old with a fun and safe Australian Football experience.

The 2014 NAB AFL Auskick season was launched live on Channel Seven’s Sunrise program when the Little Big Time took centre stage in Sydney’s Martin Place which was transformed into an Auskick stadium.

Sunrise presenters David Koch, Samantha Armytage, Natalie Barr and Simon Reeve took part in the Auskick drills, along with local Auskickers and AFL stars Kurt Tippett Sydney Swans from the Sydney Swans and Dylan Shiel from Greater Western Sydney Giants.

AFL General Manager, People Customer and Community Dorothy Hisgrove said NAB AFL Auskick is an inclusive program which serves as an introduction to a lifetime of involvement in the game.

“NAB AFL Auskick is not just about introducing children to Australian Football – it encourages social inclusion and each child to pursue a healthy lifestyle and an association with our great game, creating memories that will last a lifetime for Auskickers, families, friends and volunteers.

“NAB's partnership with Auskick continues to provide tremendous support to nearly 180,000 participants and 20,000 volunteers, involved at the 2,800 centres around the country last year."

National Australia Bank's General Manager Consumer Marketing, Kevin Ramsdale said, "As a longstanding supporter of the AFL, NAB is delighted to be associated with the NAB AFL Auskick Program. Our support of this program allows us to play a genuine role in growing the game, which is fundamental to our ongoing commitment to Footify Australia”.

“Our partnership saw Skye Ferguson win the title of 2013 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year, and we look forward to identifying our next young star of the game in 2014,” he continued.
