ST KILDA'S Terry Milera will play his first match for 2014 against Gold Coast on Sunday after replacing defender James Gwilt, who broke down with a hamstring injury at training on Sunday.

Milera is the only change to the Saints lineup.

The Suns have included Zac Smith and Alex Sexton in their final lineup, replacing the injured Tom Nicholls and Kade Kolodjashnij.
Essendon has received a timely boost ahead of its crucial Friday night clash with the Sydney Swans at Etihad Stadium, with Tom Bellchambers and David Myers returning to the side.

Bellchambers has not played this season after having surgery on his ankle in January, while Myers has missed the past three games with a hamstring complaint.

Andrew Swallow, Andrew Mackie, Nathan Foley and Claye Beams headline other notable round nine inclusions.

Bellchambers and Myers are huge ins for the Bombers, but the loss of Paul Chapman (suspension) will be felt, while youngster Martin Gleeson has been omitted.

The Swans have made one change to their side, with pressure king Ben McGlynn forced out of the team through illness with Brandon Jack included as his replacement.

Richmond has made three changes for its meeting with Melbourne at the MCG on Saturday afternoon, with Nathan Foley and Ben Griffiths to return alongside debutant Ben Lennon.

Lennon was the Tigers' first round selection (pick No. 12 overall) in last year's NAB AFL Draft and has returned strongly via the VFL from knee surgery in February.

Drafted as a forward, Lennon has been playing mainly in the backline for the Tigers' VFL side.

James Frawley, who is a massive out for Melbourne, misses the game with a hamstring niggle, while Shannon Byrnes has been ruled out with a foot issue.

That paves the way for former Crow Aidan Riley to play his first game for the Demons, joining big man Max Gawn, who spent time at full-forward at training on Thursday, in the squad.

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott has wielded the selection axe, dropping Michael Firrito and Brad McKenzie from the Kangaroos' side that faces the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Nathan Grima (foot) has been ruled out, while North will welcome back captain Andrew Swallow for his first game of the year and his first since rupturing his Achilles in round 18 last season.

Robin Nahas and Sam Wright have also been picked by the Kangaroos.

Lions midfielder Claye Beams will finally make his return to football two months after breaking his foot in a practice match in early March. That followed a year on the sidelines with a ruptured ACL.

Jordan Lisle and Mitch Golby are the other inclusions for the Lions, with Matt Maguire (suspension), Sam Mayes (concussion) and Nick Robertson making way.

Fremantle and Geelong have each made two changes at the selection table for what shapes as the match of the round at Patersons Stadium on Saturday night.

Veteran Cat Mackie joins debutant Jed Bews, son of Geelong champion Andrew, in the Cats side, with Mathew Stokes (suspended) and George Burbury (groin) out.

Zac Dawson and Tom Sheridan return for the Dockers at the expense of Clancee Pearce and Hayden Crozier.

Zac Smith will play his first game for Gold Coast this season, named for the Suns' clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Smith is yet to play a game since rupturing his ACL in May last year, his return off-setting the loss of ruckman Tom Nicholls (knee).

Boom youngster Kade Kolodjashnij has also been sidelined with a knee injury, with Suns quartet Tom Murphy, Matthew Warnock Alex Sexton and Timmy Sumner all in the running to replace the injured duo.

Terry Milera, Josh Saunders and Sam Dunell have all been named on an extended interchange for the Saints.
