THE FUTURE of Mo Hope is up in the air, with North Melbourne confirming it will not offer the forward an AFL Women's contract for 2020.

Hope joined North at the end of the 2018 AFLW season after two years with Collingwood (2017-18). She has played 21 matches and kicked 23 goals in three seasons.

Hope, 31, has been linked to St Kilda, one of four new teams set to join the competition in 2020.

The Roos expect midfielder Jamie Stanton to head home and sign with expansion team Gold Coast. The 23-year-old played for Brisbane before joining North.

St Kilda, Gold Coast, West Coast and Richmond can each sign up to 12 players from other teams as part of their list-building concessions; eight of those players can come from Brisbane and Fremantle and four from the other teams.

The Tigers are expected to be active when the AFLW Sign and Trade Period officially starts next Monday. They already have been linked to power forward Sabrina Frederick-Traub, who last week officially told Brisbane she would be leaving to join a Melbourne-based club.

Richmond also is set to make a play for Western Bulldogs co-captain Katie Brennan, according to a report in The Age. Brennan has been a Bulldog since the start of the AFLW competition.
