GEORGIA Patrikios has returned to St Kilda ahead of the upcoming AFLW season after the League's COVID-19 vaccination policy was changed.

Patrikios, who sat out the 2022 season while she considered her vaccination options, will return to the club for training after the League removed its mandatory vaccination policy on Thursday.

The Saints confirmed on Friday that the two-time best-and-fairest winner would resume training.

“We’re really looking forward to having Georgia back training with her teammates and preparing for the season ahead,” the Saints' AFLW boss Tessie McManus said,

“She’s a very talented player and a great person, so everyone in the program is really excited to have Georgia back inside the four walls doing what she loves again.”

Patrikios thanked the club for its support while she was away from the game, and said she was excited to get stuck into AFLW season seven.

“I’m very excited to be back at RSEA Park,” Patrikios said.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the loyalty the club has shown me over the past 18 months.

“All I want to do now is train hard alongside my teammates and run out there with the girls next season.”
