GOLD Coast has been dealt another blow, with inaugural player Jamie Stanton ruled out for the remainder of the season with a full ACL rupture.

Stanton landed awkwardly running to gather a ground ball in the first quarter, with her left knee buckling under her. She was assisted by trainers as she left the field in tears.

"It’s devastating news for Jamie who has been an integral part of the club’s AFLW program since our inaugural game," Gold Coast head of women's football Fiona Sessarago said.

"She’s a much-loved member of this squad and we will all be supporting her throughout her rehabilitation to see her return to the field stronger than ever."
