ADELAIDE has farewelled two-time premiership player Ailish Considine, opting to not renew the Irishwoman's contract for next season.

Joining the club in 2019 as a crosscode rookie, Considine played 26 games, including the 2019 and season six Grand Final victories, kicking nine goals in the process.

A severe hamstring injury prevented Considine from playing a game during season seven as the Crows reached a preliminary final in their premiership defence.

"In the end, the decision was made to not offer Ailish a contract for next year as we continue to rejuvenate our squad," Adelaide head of women's football Phil Harper said.

"We appreciate everything Ailish has done for the Crows, it’s no mean feat to give up her life to move to the other side of the world to play for our club. She will always be a part of the Crows family and a dual Premiership player."

Brisbane premiership defender Kate Lutkins will move to the inactive list for the 2023 season for personal reasons. Lutkins, who ruptured her ACL in round one of season six, returned to footy in impressive time to play a key part in the Lions' push to a fourth Grand Final appearance in season seven later in the same year.

"The club will provide further details on this in due course," Brisbane AFLW head coach Craig Starcevich said.

"We ask everyone to please respect Kate’s privacy at this time."

CARLTON has delisted three players after a frustrating two-win season, including exciting small forward Poppy Schaap.

Schaap, who was added to the list as an inactive player replacement earlier this year for season six, played the last two games this season, kicking three goals in the process.

Untried key defender Jess Jones and former Gold Coast midfielder Charlotte Hammans have also not been offered contracts for next season.

Hammans was traded to Carlton before the 2021 season after one season and no games at the Suns. She played five games for the Blues, including one this season.

Jones was taken with the final pick in the 2022 draft from North Melbourne's VFLW side but didn't make a senior appearance.

COLLINGWOOD

Delistings PSP departures Retirements Traded out
El Chaston Chloe Molloy (to Sydney) Alison Downie Steph Chiocci (St Kilda)
Abbi Moloney     Jaimee Lambert (St Kilda)
      Jordan Membrey (Gold Coast)

COLLINGWOOD has parted ways with young duo El Chaston and Abbi Moloney.

Chaston, a previous captain of Coates Talent League side Eastern Ranges, played 11 games across two seasons. They primarily played across the midfield and the forward line, with their attack on the footy a clear standout feature of their game.

Tall forward Moloney joined Collingwood the year prior, via the 2020 AFLW Draft.

She kicked five goals across her nine games, including two from two disposals on debut against the Western Bulldogs.

The Magpies have made a number of other changes to their list, with Steph Chiocci and Jaimee Lambert moving to St Kilda, Jordan Membrey to Gold Coast and Chloe Molloy to Sydney. Tarni White (St Kilda) and Grace Campbell (North Melbourne) have joined the club.

ESSENDON

Delistings
Jordan Zanchetta
Bella Ayre
Olivia Barton
Eloise Ashley-Cooper
Caitlin Sargent
Jorja Borg
Megan Ryan
Frederica Frew

ESSENDON has announced a host of further delistings as it prepares for the delisted free agency signing period and supplementary draft next month.

Eloise Ashley-Cooper, Caitlin Sargent, Jorja Borg, Megan Ryan and Federica Frew have all been informed they would not be offered contracts for the 2023 season, joining Bella Ayre, Olivia Barton and Jordan Zanchetta who were all let go late last year.

Ashley-Cooper and Borg, who were both ruled inactive with injury, and Sargent all failed to make their debut in Essendon's inaugural AFLW season, while Ryan (2 games) and Frew (6 games) each made appearances at the top level.

"I would like to thank Eloise, Caitlin, Jorja, Megan and Federica for their investment and dedication throughout our first AFLW season," Essendon head of AFLW Aysha Ward said.

"Each player has all influenced the foundations we have built at the club in our inaugural season."

Zanchetta, who was part of Essendon's 2022 VFLW premiership after four seasons and 13 games with Brisbane, played three games for the Bombers this year. Fellow former Lion Ayre failed to make her Essendon debut after an injury-plagued season.

Defender Barton, recruited from Port Melbourne's VFLW program via expansion, played one game for Essendon in round seven.

"Bella, Jordan and Olivia have shown great commitment and dedication to Essendon Football Club in our inaugural AFLW season. The players should all be very proud of the role they played in helping to build our club culture and we thank them for their contribution," Essendon AFLW list and recruiting manager Georgia Harvey said.

Bianca Webb     Tahlia Read (Carlton)

FREMANTLE has delisted defender Matilda Sergeant and midfielder Bianca Webb, following the departure of Janelle Cuthbertson to Port Adelaide and the retirement of Kara Antonio.

Sergeant battled a series of long-term injuries over her five AFLW seasons, including hip, concussion and foot issues, pulling together 19 games over that time.

The 21-year-old Webb also played 19 matches over four seasons after her selection with pick No.85 from Swan Districts.

"Days like today are never easy and we thank 'Tildi' and Bianca for their valuable contributions to our club," head of AFLW Bob Murphy said.

"Both showed loyalty and dedication towards our AFLW journey and all at Fremantle wish them well for the future."

Meanwhile, forward Ashley Sharp has chosen to step away from football for family reasons.

After sitting out the last two seasons to recover from giving birth to son Spencer late last year, Sharp has decided to move away from the AFLW for the time being, but is keeping the door ajar for a return in the future.

"Since being on maternity leave, I've realised my priority is currently spending as much time as possible with my son and family and potentially making a return to professional football down the track," Sharp said.

Sharp made her debut in round one, 2017 in Fremantle's inaugural AFLW match, and kicked 25 goals across her 34 games.

"Ashley was an integral part of Fremantle's women's program for the first five seasons and that wasn't always an easy time for the side," Fremantle head of AFLW Bob Murphy said.

"She became a reliable target in the forward half and had the ability to spark players around her. We wish Ashley and her family all the best and would love to see her return to the game she loves in the future."

GEELONG

Delistings Retirements Traded Out
Georgia Clarke Maddy McMahon Laura Gardiner (Sydney)
Kalani Scoullar   Maddy Keryk (Port Adelaide)

INAUGURAL Cat Georgia Clarke has been delisted by the club, along with young ruck Kalani Scoullar.

Key-position player Clarke was selected in the 2018 NAB AFLW Draft with pick No.24, but struggled to find her feet at AFLW level.

She played 19 games over five seasons, kicking eight goals.

Scoullar was signed as an injury replacement player for season seven after training with the club over pre-season.

The GWV Rebels product played two games last season.

GOLD COAST

Delistings Retirements Traded Out Other
Tori Groves-Little Ashlee Atkins Courtney Jones (Richmond)

Maddi Levi (moved to inactive list)
Teagan Levi (moved to inactive list)

Jade Pregelj Krystal Scott Ellie Hampson (Brisbane)
Annise Bradfield   Serene Watson (St Kilda)
Shannon Danckert

GOLD Coast has delisted former top pick Annise Bradfield and tenacious midfielder Shannon Danckert.

Bradfield was selected with pick No.7 in the 2020 draft, the top pick in the Queensland pool.

She ruptured her ACL in her second game, missing the remainder of the 2021 season and all of season six, returning in the back half of last year.

Danckert, 25, was initially signed as an injury replacement player for season six after some dominant form in the QAFLW. She played 13 matches across her two seasons.

It’s been a period of significant turnover for the Suns, who have already parted ways with Jade Pregelj and Tori Groves-Little.

Groves-Little, a forward recruited from Brisbane in the Suns' initial list build, has battled concussion in their time on the Coast, playing 11 games and kicking four goals in that time.

Meanwhile Pregelj, a key defender, made her long awaited returned to footy when she was drafted by the Suns after an impressive junior career with local club the Logan Cobras. In her debut season Pregelj finished equal-second in the club's Best and Fairest count and was named in the 2020 All-Australian squad.

Pregelj unfortunately missed AFLW season seven after rupturing her ACL in season six earlier last year.

Courtney Jones (Richmond), Ellie Hampson (Brisbane) and Serene Watson (St Kilda) have moved to other clubs, while they've brought in Maddy Brancatisano, Jordan Membrey, Clara Fitzpatrick and Ella Maurer.

GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY

Georgie Fowler Tanya Hetherington Jess Allan (Adelaide)
Casidhe Simmons Brid Stack
Emily Goodsir

The Giants have made a further delisting, opting not to offer midfielder Emily Goodsir a contract for the 2023 season. Drafted with pick No.76 in 2019, Goodsir was a local Sydney product who played 15 games in the orange and charcoal.

After sitting out season six to give birth to her first child, son Cruz, she made a quick recovery to feature in five games of season seven.

"We thank Em for her contribution to the Giants over the past several seasons," GWS head of women's football Briana Harvey said.

"She fought her way onto our list from the AFL Sydney competition and had an outstanding 2021 season where she was a mainstay in the midfield. Her return this season, after the birth of Cruz, was an incredible effort.

"Given the number of players we have returning from the inactive list for season eight, we had to make the tough decision that Em wouldn’t be offered a contract this season."

HAWTHORN

Delistings Retirements Traded Out
Isabelle Porter Jess Duffin Eliza Shannon (North Melbourne)
Dominique Carbone Kate McCarthy

HAWTHORN has delisted two players from its inaugural squad, with Isabelle Porter and Dominique Carbone not offered contracts for next season.

The 25-year-old Porter played eight of a possible 10 games for Hawthorn, the midfielder overcoming a thigh injury at the start of the season to take to the field. She averaged five disposals.

Carbone, who hails from the Northern Territory, played primarily as a forward in season seven, averaging six touches from her six matches.

"Isabelle and Dominique were all valued members of our AFLW team," list manager Mitch Cashion said.

"We thank each player for their contributions to the club and wish them all the best for their future endeavours.

"Isabelle and Dominique will forever be inaugural Hawthorn AFLW players."

Hawthorn now has a list of 26 (of 30), following the retirements of Jess Duffin and Kate McCarthy.

MELBOURNE

Delistings Retirements
Sabreena Duffy Daisy Pearce
Alison Brown
Ella Little
Maggie Caris

The Demons have further delisted ruck Maggie Caris as she looks to focus on her netball career. A training partner with the Melbourne Vixens and part of the 21 and Under Australian squad, Caris spent all of 2022 on Melbourne's list, playing six games in the process.

"Maggie has been juggling her elite netball commitments with AFLW throughout her career and given her representative duties, it has now become too difficult to give both sports the level of investment they require," Melbourne AFLW list manager Todd Patterson said.

"We have always had great confidence that, when required to play, Maggie was ready to go and was on a really nice trajectory with her development. However, we understand the opportunities she has with netball at the moment.

"We hope Maggie returns to football one day and wish her all the best with her netball pursuits."

Premiership captain Daisy Pearce announced her retirement from footy in January.

NORTH MELBOURNE

Sophie Abbatangelo Brooke Brown (Essendon) Grace Campbell (Collingwood)
Grace Matser   Ella Maurer (Gold Coast)
Perri King

TASMANIAN Perri King has been delisted after two seasons with North Melbourne. The fourth King to join the AFLW – and the Kangaroos – she was taken with no.43 in 2021 draft, but failed to make her debut.

"Perri gave her all the program across two seasons. Her attitude and work ethic during her time in our program is a testament to her character, and it goes without saying we will miss her infectious personality, as well as the way she has wholeheartedly supported her teammates," North Melbourne head of women’s football Nathan Hrovat said.

"We thank Perri for her contribution to the club and wish her all the best for her future."

PORT ADELAIDE

Delistings Other Traded Out
Britt Perry Jacqui Yorston (moved to inactive list) Sarah Goodwin (Adelaide)
Tessa Doumanis   Kate Surman (Geelong)
Elizabeth McGrath

PORT Adelaide midfielder Jacqui Yorston has decided to step away from football for 12 months, moving to the inactive list for the 2023 season.

Yorston, who was recruited from Gold Coast in the Power's initial list build, will take the time out to focus on her physical and mental wellbeing and reconsider her AFLW career some time down the track.

The midfielder played all 10 games in Port Adelaide's maiden campaign, averaging 12 disposals and eight tackles as a key cog.

"We are proud of Jacqui for making the decision to prioritise her wellbeing," Port Adelaide head of AFLW Juliet Haslam said.

"Jacqui will continue to be part of the Port Adelaide family and we will provide her with any support she needs throughout this time. We wish her all the very best."

Port has also informed Britt Perry and Tessa Doumanis they will not be offered contracts for the 2023 season.

Perry, who started her career with Greater Western Sydney in 2019, landed at Alberton by way of Gold Coast, playing 24 games along the way, six of which were with the Power, kicking four of her eight career goals in that time.

Key forward Doumanis was an expansion signing as part of Port Adelaide's first list build, and made her debut in the inaugural AFLW Showdown against Adelaide in round six.

The pair join ruck Elizabeth McGrath in leaving Port Adelaide during the off-season, after McGrath was not offered a contract for 2023.

McGrath won North Melbourne's VFLW best and fairest not long after being recruited by the Power and played three games at AFLW level before a hamstring injury put an end to her season.

"We are grateful to Liz for relocating to South Australia to join Port Adelaide shortly before pre-season began," Port Adelaide list manager Naomi Maidment said.

"Liz brought enthusiasm and energy to the group and we wish her all the best for what comes next."

Meanwhile, the club has recruited key forward Ashleigh Woodland from Adelaide via the Priority Signing Period.

RICHMOND

Delistings Traded out Retired
Hannah Burchell Kodi Jaques (to Essendon) Courtney Wakefield
Sophie Molan Harriet Cordner (to Carlton)
Saraid Taylor Maddy Brancatisano (to Gold Coast)

RICHMOND has bid goodbye to its first ever draft selection, Sophie Molan, in two further delistings ahead of today’s trade and sign deadline.

Molan, taken with pick seven in the 2019 draft, played 24 games for the Tigers including the club’s inaugural game.

"We wish Sophie all the best for her future pursuits on and off the field," Richmond head of women's football Kate Sheahan said.

"Sophie can be proud to have been an inaugural AFLW Tiger, and we are grateful for her efforts across the past four seasons."

The untried Saraid Taylor has also not been offered a contract for the 2023 season, but will likely be added as a train-on player for the Tigers later in the year, as she continues to ply her trade at Richmond VFLW affiliate Port Melbourne.

Hannah Burchell was also delisted by Richmond late last year, while Courtney Wakefield has retired, and Kodi Jacques (Essendon), Harriet Cordner (Carlton) and Maddy Brancatisano (Gold Coast) have all found new homes.

An inaugural Tiger, Burchell played one game for Geelong before making the move to Punt Road where she played 18 games across three seasons.

Unfortunately, an ACL rupture in round five earlier in the year meant Burchell was inactive for season seven.

"We would like to thank Hannah for her dedication across her four years with us," Richmond head of women's football Kate Sheahan said.

"Hannah has played her part in building our women’s program and can be proud to have been one of our inaugural players. We wish her and her family all the best for the future."

ST KILDA

Delistings Traded out
Leah Cutting Tarni White (Collingwood)
Lucy Burke Kate Shierlaw (North Melbourne)
Jess Matin Caitlin Greiser (Richmond)
  Clara Fitzpatrick (Gold Coast)

ST KILDA has delisted another two players, with key defender Lucy Burke and small forward Jess Matin joining Leah Cutting as players not to receive contracts for 2023.

Burke – no relation to teammate Alice – played 12 games as an injury replacement player over the last two seasons, even playing in the ruck at times.

Matin had three seasons under her belt, and had an uncanny knack of booting multiple goals a match. Also an injury replacement player, former cricketer Matin finishes with 15 goals from 18 matches.

Cutting played seven games for the Saints in early 2022 before sitting out season seven to focus on her career in the South Australian police force.

"On behalf of the club, we'd like to thank Leah, Jess and Lucy for all they have contributed and invested into St Kilda," head of AFLW Tessie McManus said.

"All have left their mark in their own way, be it through their performances on gameday or around the club.

"We wish all three the best in their future football and off-field endeavours."

SYDNEY

Delistings Traded Out
Sarah Dargan Molly Eastman (Geelong)
Sarah Skinner
Tiarne Cavanagh
Gen Lawson Taven
Zoe Hurrell

SYDNEY has made a further three changes, delisting Sarah Dargan, Sarah Skinner and Tiarne Cavanagh

Dargan is the most experienced of the trio, the 24-year-old having previously played at Collingwood and Richmond for a career total of 34 matches.

Skinner played eight of a possible 10 AFLW games, having initially made her mark as a Tasmanian-based North Melbourne VFLW player.

Former rugby sevens player Cavanagh featured in round three after being signed as a rookie.

"We wish Tiarne, Sarah and Sarah all the best for their future endeavours. They should all be congratulated for their commitment and dedication to making the Sydney Swans AFLW program a better place," head of football Kate Mahony said.

"These decisions are never easy, and we will continue to support each of them at this time.

"On behalf of the Swans I would like to thank them for their service, they will forever be valuable members of our inaugural AFLW team."

Sydney previously delisted Gen Lawson Taven and Zoe Hurrell, and have signed Chloe Molloy and Lucy McEvoy through the priority signing period.

Hurrell, signed via expansion out of the local Sydney competition, made her debut in round eight against Essendon on her 21st birthday, goaling with her first kick.

Meanwhile, Lawson Tavan was the last player added to Sydney's inaugural list, signed from the Darebin Falcons to replace the injured Alice Mitchell. After debuting in round one she went on to play seven games in defence.

The Swans are also expected to land a handful of Irish players, led by Paris McCarthy.

WEST COAST

Delistings
Hayley Bullas
Imahra Cameron
Emily Bennett
Ashleigh Gomes

WEST Coast has delisted four players, including inaugural Eagles Hayley Bullas and Imahra Cameron.

Joining the Eagles via its expansion phase, Bullas played 30 games for the club including seven this season, kicking five goals in that time.

Cameron was drafted with pick 19 in the 2019 draft, and kicked 10 goals in her 25 games, including three in West Coast's third-ever win in 2021.

01:18

Alongside the inaugural pair, young defender Emily Bennett and inactive replacement player Ashleigh Gomes have also been delisted after nine and two games respectively.

"It is never easy making these decisions," West Coast head of women's football Michelle Cowan said.

"All four of the players have been part of what we are building with the program. It was particularly difficult with regards Hayley and Imahra as they have been with us since inception.

"I would like to thank each of them for their contributions to the club and wish them well for the future."

WESTERN BULLDOGS

Delistings Retirements Traded Out
Amanda Ling Brooke Vernon Nell Morris-Dalton (Collingwood)
Annabel Strahan

THE Western Bulldogs have bid goodbye to Amanda Ling and Annabel Strahan after two and three seasons on the list respectively.

Ling, a strong midfielder, was taken with pick no.22 in the 2019 draft and ran out for two games in season six, but failed to hit the field in season seven.

Meanwhile Strahan was added in 2021 as an inactive replacement player and played one game – in dramatic circumstances no less. In the midst of the Dogs' COVID struggles in season six, Strahan was called up as a late in to play in the side's narrow loss to the then-unbeaten Fremantle.
