MELBOURNE will host Adelaide at Ikon Park in a qualifying final on Friday night to kick off the first week of finals.

The Dees have played their home matches at Casey Fields, and have hosted finals both there and at the MCG (which is unavailable due to cricket) in the past.

Richmond and North Melbourne's draw to wrap up round 10 flipped the top eight on its head.

It means Richmond will now travel to take on minor premier Brisbane at Metricon Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the loser holding a second chance for next week.

The Roos will reacquaint themselves with Geelong at GMHBA Stadium in an elimination final on Saturday evening, having overcome the Cats earlier this year in Tasmania.

Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs will close the first week of finals on Sunday, with the Pies earning hosting rights at Victoria Park for its elimination final.

Tickets for week one go on sale Monday, October 31 at 2pm local time for members, and 4pm local time for the general public.
