COLLINGWOOD'S Sarah Rowe has signed with Irish soccer team Bohemian Football Club, but the cross-coder's overseas commitments won't impact her upcoming AFLW season, the Pies say.

Bohemian's women's side competes in Ireland's Women's National League, with the comp's 2023 season running from early March to November.

The start date for the next season of AFLW is yet to be confirmed, but is expected to commence in August.

Despite the overlap in seasons between Rowe's two sports, she is still contracted with Collingwood for 2023 and the Pies expect her to be back for the upcoming AFLW season.

"Collingwood supports Sarah’s decision to return to Ireland for this opportunity and will remain in constant contact with her throughout this time," the Pies' women's football boss Jess Burger said.

"We understand that soccer is a passion of Sarah's and that this is a great opportunity for her.

"Sarah remains committed to her growth and development in our AFLW program and both Sarah and her management will continue to work closely with Collingwood to manage her individual program whilst she's away.

"We wish her all the best for her time with the Bohemian Football Club and look forward to her re-joining our program for the 2023 AFLW season."

Earlier this year, Rowe joined A-League Women's club Melbourne Victory where she played three matches.

Collingwood confirmed on Sunday that Rowe would be heading back to Ireland next week.

The Bohemian Football Club has confirmed that Rowe has signed for the full season, which is due to finish in mid-November.
