CARLTON'S Charlotte Wilson and St Kilda's Olivia Vesely have been named this week's NAB AFL Women's Rising Star nominees after standout performances in round five.

Wilson follows Lucy McEvoy and Grace Egan as Carlton's third nominee in 2020, while Vesely also joins two of her Saints teammates in Georgia Patrikios and Caitlin Greiser in getting the nod.

With 12 disposals and eight marks as a key defender in the Blues' 21-point win over the Saints, Wilson finally got the recognition after just missing out in round four.

Vesely has played just five games but has been one of St Kilda's most dependable players in her first season.

The midfielder has had 13 or more disposals in every game, with her 18 touches against the Blues in round five a career-high for the 20-year-old.

Vesely spent time on Carlton's VFLW list in 2018 before making her way to St Kilda as an open-age expansion selection.
